Fredericksburg
Founded in 1846 by German immigrants, Fredericksburg has retained much of its German history, with many of the older buildings keeping their original German styles. The town boasts a rich history, - including Fort Martin Scott, Pioneer Museum Complex and the Lyndon B. Johnson State and National Historical Parks - a booming shopping scene, known as Magic Mile (with over 150 shops, including antique retailers, candy shops and boutiques), an ever-growing art scene and an amazing central location to Texas's blossoming wine industry.
Stonehenge II
Originally erected for fun by two locals residents, Stonehenge II is 90% as wide as the original and 60% high. It has recently been relocated to the grounds of the Hill Country Arts Foundation along with two 13-ft. tall Easter Island heads and is well worth a visit.
Boerne
Boerne is home to four major attractions. The acclaimed Cibolo Nature Center with it's four distinct eco systems is popular for birding, hiking and exploring. Enchanted Springs Ranch is a Wild West Theme Park with exotic animals and an Old Western town. And there are two natural living caves- Cave Without A Name and Cascade Caverns.
This place blew our minds! The property was STUNNING! Very Clean! Very well kept! The pool was beautiful and not overcrowded! All employees were extremely nice. Best vacay yet!
Property was beautiful! Everyone was super nice. Wished we had more time. It was exactly what we where looking for. The only downsides were that the hot tub was still broken from the Snowmageddon. We specifically wanted a hot tub, and were bummed that it wasn't available. The owner did tell us that it was broken, but she thought it would be fixed by the time of our stay. We didn't realize that we had booked a handicapped accessible room. Which wasn't a bad thing, just means that when you shower, it is next to impossible to not make a big mess. Also, the upstairs neighbors were kind of loud. My sister ended up getting woken up more than once, so the floor/ceiling isn't soundproofed very well. The kitchen didn't have hot water, BUT we didn't realize that until our last day when we needed to wash our wine glasses (remember, girl's weekend lol). So it wasn't an issue for us, and we did tell the front. I'm sure if we had noticed before, it would have been fixed immediatly. The pool area is beautiful! We didn't get to use it sadly, because we didn't catch that the closing time was 8pm, instead of 10pm. I guess we are spoiled by our city livings lol The drive up is gorgeous! One of our favorite places to hang out was the patio. It was perfect for just relaxing, drinking our wine and catching up talking about life. Both of us are looking forward to bringing our families here in the future and would highly recommend this place!
Really nice apartment size room. Handicap accessibility but we didn’t need that ( thankfully). Priced very reasonable. Secluded. Very nice accommodation. Pool was nice, little arbor real cool. Clubhouse was closed. River access was really a pretty place. Disappointed that the view from the room was really none, the second floor guests were noisy and annoying. Sounded like a herd of elephants.
Property was beautiful, quiet, relaxing, and full of nature and many activities to do nearby .
The scenic was breath taking and the view was amazing. The stay was great - very clean and caution about COVID. They have great customer service and the check in and check out was so easy. The only thing I have to complain is they don't have a spa area or restaurant within the resort. Overall was very happy and will come back.
Overall, a very nice property. Room was spacious & very clean. We loved having a full kitchen to prepare our meals, especially important during COVID as we didn't want to eat out. My biggest issue with the stay was that 2 of the amenities we specifically booked this property (the pool and the private river access) for were either severely restricted or not available at all. This information was NOT on the listing at all. Found out from the property manager the day before leaving that the pool was open. However, when we arrived, pool availability was in 2 hour slots and you could only visit once per day. Also, seating was assigned and you had to sit wherever they assigned you. The pool concierge would not allow to us sit in a more shady area. Also, most of the families left halfway through the time slot and when we tried to move to a now vacant spot in the shade, we very rudely told us we could not move because she had already sanitized the area for the next group. The next group was not due to arrive for another hour. Also, if you were at the pool one day, you had to go on a Wait List to be at the pool the next day. I felt the property amenities were very misrepresented during COVID and they need to be more upfront with limitations until the full experience is once again available.
Property was great - but they closed the pool area. I know it was due to Covid but it was frustrating
Loved everything, but it would have been sooo much better without the COVID restrictions
