Cresco, Pennsylvania
Private and separate from the main house, but a stone's throw away if you should need anything.
One of two available apartments above our barn located on our 10 acre property.
Each apartment is separate, with it's own dedicated entrance, but is connected to the other apartment. Both spaces are equal in size, and connect through two of the rooms. These rooms feature fully insulated exterior doors which will be securely locked to restrict access from one space to the other.
Our apartment features:
1,000 sq. ft.
Full kitchen
Living room with gas fireplace, big screen tv, and queen size pullout sofa bed
Full bath
Washer/dryer
Two bedrooms with a king size bed in one and a queen in the other.
The space is simple, yet provides every amenity you need while away from home. You don't have to worry about a thing. Every detail was thought of. Forget a toothbrush Theres an extra in the closet.
Sheets, towels, silverware, pots, pans, iron, etc. all provided.
Charmingly decorated. Welcoming. Clean. Comfortable. Specifically designed with the weary traveler in mind.
Enjoy the mountain atmosphere. Make friends with the wiener dogs. Feed the chickens. See the sights. Most importantly, relax, unwind, and enjoy you stay!
The other space is also available under listing no. 994852
The apartment is located in a rural area, but is within 10 minutes of all surrounding cities. If you're looking to get away from it all, and just enjoy the outdoors, this is the place to be. There are two public access swimming holes within 1/4 mile of the apartment. If hiking, biking, kayaking is your thing, there are too many to list here. Its what the Poconos is known for!
The apt is also situated right in the middle of all Poconos attractions. My place is close to multiple ski resorts, including Jack Frost, Camelback, and Shawnee. There are two water parks within 10 miles (Camel beach and Kalahari). Both have separate indoor and outdoor parks so you can enjoy them in any season!
Take in the sights at Bushkill Falls or do a ropes course at Camelback. Canoe down the Delaware river or golf until your hearts content at one of our country clubs.
If you are a hunter, you are sure to bag a deer/bear/small game as the forests are teeming with them. (Seriously, the deer here are as plentiful as chipmunks.)
Fishing is great too with many beautiful rivers and lakes.
Pocono raceway, Claws and Paws zoo, Skirmish paintball, bowling, laser tag, roller skating, and the list goes on and on.
Relax for a day in one of the many upscale spas.
History buffs can visit historic Jim Thorpe, ride the steam town railroad, take a tour of Delaware Water Gap in a trolley, see how 19th century folks baked bread in wood fired ovens and collected ice to store in their ice house for use in summer at Quiet Valley Living Historical Society.
If you're looking for some fun adult entertainment, Mount Airy casino and Desaki nightclub are a 10 minute drive.
Culinary experts will appreciate the fine dining at our many first class restaurants.
Desaki is a gorgeous sushi/hibachi place where you can practically have your eyebrows singed while watching your meal sautéed in front of you.
Also check out the Frogtown Inn, Alaska Petes, the Chophouse, and Van Gilders Jubilee. The quaint town of Cresco itself has a few gems that are worth checking out...Callie's Candy Kitchen is fun for the kids. Sometimes they demo how candy is made.
Mountain Creek riding stables offer horseback riding with excellent friendly guides.
Cool little antique shops are all over here.
And let's not forget the Casino Theatre for dinner and a movie. They bring your meal to you while you're enjoying the movie!
Speaking of movies, there is a drive in theatre in Dickson City, not too far away. I could go on and on and not list nearly all the things to do around here. Rest assured you will not be bored!!!.

Stayed for two nights for a girls weekend. It was convenient to many attractions. It was decorated well and clean. The chickens were friendly and the beautiful calico cat was super loving. Would stay again. It was a little hard to find, but the owner gave good instructions.
Very nice rental property. It is brand new, clean and well equipped! Plenty of room for the 5 people who stayed there.
We had everything we needed plus goats, chickens, and a visiting cat! Place we terrific!
We stayed at the Weiner Dog Barn by the Chick-Inn during the weekdays before Labor Day. The property is just as described. They even had a few pigs they kept a good distance from the barn (good thinking because up close they're cute but stinky). The two goats are adorable and love to be pet. We enjoyed giving the chickens (and mama goat) our morning/afternoon food scraps (we kept it healthy with cut grapes, banana slices, berries, spinach and carrots) and sitting on the porch swing by the animal gate with our morning coffee where Barn Kitty would greet us as well. We even had a couple visits from Streudel, the red weiner dog, checking to see how our stay was going! Our son loved exploring the land by the barn as much as he enjoyed the trails we hiked! It's good to have your itinerary set and slightly mapped out before hand as mobile phone/internet service can be tough... but we all needed to be able to let nature take us away from the technology a bit. Thank you to the Davis family for letting our son enjoy your trampoline with your youngest child and neighbor... such sweet kids! And I hope she liked her pinata practice!
We enjoyed our stay here, the property was maintained clean. It is located about 30 minute short drive from many of the attractions in Poconos. We’ll definitely recommend to our friends and come back again!!
We are outdoor people and love animals so this place was great for us. We enjoyed the animals a lot
Comfortable, quiet and very spacious apartment. Adding the element of chickens, goats, kitty cats , all of which are very clean And friendly, adds to the charm of the stay. Tiffany suggests printing off her directions to The Chick Inn, and they were spot on. We found using WAZE worked best to get us out and about in the area as WiFi was very spotty at the Apt., and would also freeze while driving through the Poconos, so its just a part of being in the mountains. We visited with friends over in East Stroudsburg, about a 25 min drive up, over and around the mountains, easily navigated in the summer. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others. Many thanks to Tiffany!
We had an amazing stay at this apartment. It was clean, bright, and inviting. We are animal and outdoor lovers. We come to town for the Nascar race. Then we did hiking and kayaking in the Delaware river. Coming back to the apartment was relaxing and quite. We also enjoyed making friends with the animals on the property. The humans, especially Tiffany were very nice and friendly too. They were there if needed and answered questions quickly. A great place to stay in the mountains off the beaten path but close to fun stuff to do. Highly recommend.
Great apartment: spacious and clean. Animals: the friendliest cat, dog, goats and chickens you would ever meet. We would sit on the porch swing and feed the animals and enjoy the peaceful scenery. TV: Would be nice to have tvs in the bedrooms. We can not wait to book another stay. Thank you so much Tiffany and family.
Had a great stay. It was a perfect get away for the weekend
Was close the the mountain and comfortable for us!
Literally the second my boyfriend and I arrived, we were greeted by their super affectionate cat plus a wandering chicken that had escaped the coop ?. I think we spent more time outside looking at chickens and playing with the cat than anything else. At the end of our trip, we were contemplating stealing the cat ??. The actual house has very nice homey vibes and was CLEAN which was very important to me, we felt very comfortable. We had little to no reception on our phones the entire time we were there and the wifi wasn't the best, but that wasn't an issue for us, we came to relax and look at chickens lol
