Welcome to Tamarca Hollow, A Nature Retreat! We are secluded carriage house retreat located in the hidden hills of western NC. A 700 sf space (above our garage) fully contained with all the comforts of home....but off the grid!
The driveway is a wee bit steep and gravel. Front wheel drive vehicles may be challenged to get back up, (going up in reverse works great!) All wheel/four wheel is suggested. There is parking available on the street at the top of our driveway. We are happy to assi

Stayed Apr 3, 2021I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hollow! I cannot express how exceptional the attention to detail was- right from initial communication with Tamara and Marc, to the lemon infused water chilled in the fridge! The place was beautiful and clean. The bubbling creek can be heard as you fall asleep, or sit on the porch with a morning brew. We enjoyed a toured walk through the forest on the property with Marc. Then took a beautiful hike to a waterfall that Tamara recommended. All in all, a perfect getaway which we will be sure to return to!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Tamara and Marc have a beautiful above garage apartment that has been well taken care of. The extra touches they add make your stay like you are at a resort. Such a treat staying here for a weekend and escaping the rushes of every day life.

Stayed Oct 2, 2020Loved the location and the set-up of the carriage house. The DVD collection was a super treat for us. Any glitches with communication were probably due to internet connections . Marc and Tamara were superb hosts !

Stayed Aug 14, 2020If you’re looking for an off the grid mountain oasis, this is your place! We are so jealous that Tamara and Marc get to wake up to this everyday! Their property is GORGEOUS! Tamara and Marc were also very flexible with us as we had to reschedule our trip dates. They are unbelievable hosts, too! They left an amazing summer salad, bread, cookies, yogurt, wine, cheese, crackers - you name it! They even left little dog treats for our boy! They took us on a tour of their property and then let us roam freely. They left hammocks for us to swing in and it was so peaceful and just what we needed! The house is super clean and just the perfect cabin feel! We loved listening to the frogs sing at night and just be at peace with nature. Tamara and Marc have the coolest dogs, too, who just loved our little man! We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to visit again! :-)
