Stayed Jun 25, 2026The Whistling Swan is close to everything in the heart of Fish Creek, so the location is ideal for walking. Loved being two blocks from the lake, park, beach and marina. The Inn has such huge potential but needs some TLC. The room was comfortable and overall clean. The carpets in the room and the main stairway need cleaning. There are virtually no amenities, thus the 3 star rating. Some upgrades such as a larger TV, softer towels, a lighted make-up mirror, upgraded hairdryer, and bathroom shelf to place toiletries would have been appreciated. A place to fill bottled water besides the bathroom sink would have been nice. There were no instructions for operating the TV remote or AC in the room. Also there were only two bath towels provided for two adults for three nights. Extra towels would have been appreciated. John, the Innkeeper, was welcoming and accommodating and did check in with us to make sure we were comfortable. There is not someone at the desk 24/7, but that was fine with us. It was a good stay for a last-minute booking.
