Lovely, modern, aesthetically appealing apartment with Zen-like environment….set in a tranquil woods. With beautiful Mountain View’s, I give it 5-stars. Owner is excellent communicator which is another plus. You will not be disappointed.

The house was beautiful, modern, stylish, yet comfortable; complete with tasteful artwork actually painted by the host. So many of the mountain vacation rentals really lean into the folksy, rustic vibe but this place has a much more contemporary, clean, quiet luxury feel which we loved. You are renting the bottom floor of the house (no one else is at the property during your stay) and the space feels open with everything that you need. The host could not have been more responsive. We had no issues and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The Riverfront Oasis with Mountain Views is a nice house. After booking and payment, be aware that you do not have access to the entire house. The upper portion of the house is not made available and you only have the bottom portion. Slightly disappointing but not a deal breaker. You and your family are the only occupants on the property. The property is clean and has many kitchen cooking essentials. Our family of 4 stayed for two nights. The mountain views are truly beautiful and the surroundings are quiet and relaxing. Here are some items to keep in mind: If you plan to cook during your stay, bring extra trash bags and paper towels. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher or a garbage disposal, so you will need to dispose of food particles in the trash can. You are required to take the trash with you off the property to dispose at a public dumpster after you check out. When we stayed, there was shampoo in the shower but no body wash. Not the end of the world, but if you forget to bring shower soap or body wash you will likely need to head to the Target or Dollar General which is not too far away. We did not venture to the fire pit area of the property located by the river. After attempting to walk it, we decided that it was not an easy path. The gas grill was a nice touch from cooking indoors. Overall it’s a nice place.

Great view of the valley and sunsets. Patio is a perfect size for a yoga session with a view. The hike to the river is steep as described. Not a path for flip flops! The apartment is new and clean with tasteful artwork on the ground level of the house. The host is very responsive. Would recommend, especially if you’re looking for a quiet escape into nature with all the comforts of home (except a dishwasher).

We were visiting JMU with our teenage daughter and wanted to find a place to take in the beauty of the Shenandoah as a home base. This home was perfect for our needs and was just what I needed to recharge. It was beautifully decorated and comfortable to unwind in. And then that awesome mountain view…you see it from so many windows as you walk by and it makes you pause and stare. The covered porch was perfectly setup as a great space to hang and breathe in the nature around you. We found a great sushi place and coffee shop nearby to meet our foodie cravings. I love how close it is to Front Royal downtown and the easy entrance to the north end of Shenandoah National Park. We spent a day in the park stopping at the visitors centers and hiking Stony Man- the leaf peeping made my heart so happy. The trip to JMU was an easy straight shot about an hour away and we found some great shops and restaurants there in Harrisonburg as well. Overall a great stay - I’d recommend it if you need a zen type of location to take in the beauty of the mountains while you visit. Thanks so much to the owners for the ongoing communication, making sure we had all we needed for the stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The view in the back was amazing. We loved having our morning coffee out back and then driving to Shenandoah national park for the day - nice and quick drive. Laya was extremely responsive and helpful during our stay. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely two night stay. It was the perfect pre-birthday girls’ getaway for friends looking for a quiet, peaceful few days away from the city. The kitchen was well stocked. We were able to easily cook all our meals. The space was clean and inviting. It wasn’t the kind of getaway where anyone was interested in that much activity, but sitting outside listening to the wind, looking at the mountains and forest, enjoying wine, was exactly what was needed. Some might even call it therapeutic. It ended up being a little too cold/windy for spending much time in or around the river, but it was still a beautiful oasis. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved the property! The host was super responsive and made our stay a joy. The river access is a strenuous hike from the property down to the river, but we didn't use it so it wasn't a consideration for us. Overall, we were happy with the property and our experience.
