Stayed Mar 22, 2024This is an amazing place. The grounds are kept as if they are a botanical garden and there was not one piece of furniture ANYWHERE that wasn’t an antique. Very interesting history behind this location. It was almost hidden from foot traffic and was so private and quiet. The on-site manager/owner Joe is delightful and he was readily available to tend to our needs. We will be back!

Stayed Feb 24, 2024Las Palmas is an amazing property. My wife and I stayed in the Casita Antigua and it was perfect. Joe, the owner, was a great asset throughout the stay. One of the most beautiful settings I have ever stayed at in Palm Springs. Pool/Bar area are great midday hangout spots and our Casita was well appointed and clean. Next time in Palm Springs, we will be looking to stay here again.

Stayed Nov 2, 2023My wife and I stayed in Casita Antigua for a long weekend. It was simply perfect! And while the pictures are amazing, the actual experience is even better. And Joe is a perfect host, making everything easy and enjoyable. And the neighborhood is great for walks and is perfectly within reach of restaurants and shops while feeling tucked away at the same time. Highly recommended!

Stayed Feb 26, 2023The hosts and accommodations were exceptional; a great place to go to escape winter and rest. The location makes it walkable to downtown. The gardens with fruit trees and all sorts of beautiful plants is an oasis. Wandering the property you see the photos of movie history and the Hollywood stars who have also been there.

Stayed Jun 7, 2021My wife and I love to shoot over to Palm Springs from San Diego from time to time for a couple of nights. We love trying out new locations and we are so happy we tried Casa de Monte Vista! It sits at the base of San Jacinto mountain which makes for a dramatic view poolside. The casita was perfect and the grounds incredibly beautiful with countless blooming varieties. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and even a hawk! Very romantic! Also, close to downtown shops and restaurants. Looks like an incredible wedding venue!!! Gotta give it a try!

Stayed Feb 28, 2020This is an example of how a few nice pictures can't begin to convey how amazing a location really is. The property is a series of sprawling, vintage 1928 Spanish villas immersed in a lush tropical paradise from one end to other other and all throughout. The banana plants I saw had even produced bananas! Air was moist and fragrant with all kind of flowers. We were there last weekend in February. I think there are 5 different rooms or villas in total. The property has lots of private nooks and places to explore and relax in. Our room had a small kitchen with a selection of dishes cookware etc. along with stove, full size fridge, not sure about other rooms. You might think there are lots of places like this in Palm Springs but there are not so if you book this place consider yourself very lucky! Joe the owner lives discretely on the property and will keep you smiling and laughing, a terrific host and lots of fun to chat with. You'll feel instantly at home when he greets you. The property is completed walled in with solid doors and gates so getting in requires calling him to get let in and I was initially a bit confused which door was the entrance. So if you plan to arrive late at night or something I advise you make sure Joe knows when you are coming. The central social area with overhead rustic wood roof (with skylights) wrap around bar and outdoor kitchen will transport you into a classic Hollywood-exotic location movie! Can't say enough. The location is in a VERY nice neighborhood with expensive, classic mid-century type (or modern but designed in that style) homes right beside the mountains. The view of that gargantuan mountainside with its seemingly vertical cliffs rising straight up into the clouds dominates your view and I assure you has few equals in the world. The shadows change constantly throughout the different lighting of the day. Also a perfect spot because you are spared the high winds that can kick up elsewhere as they did on our last day and it's also in the shade sooner in the day during the hotter months. Only a few things to mention; unless I missed it there is not any type of breakfast put out, something you might assume given the place has the vibe of a B&B and I also found WiFi a bit spotty in our particular room but we were furthest off to the side so maybe it's better in the other rooms. Oh, and you are close to a number of great restaurants there too.
