Easily the most welcoming property I've rented. The hosts were super nice and even left us a few welcome beers. A quiet backyard with a pool and our daughter demanded we move here permanently. 10/10 can't recommend enough

The property was very nice to stay at! Mark and Julianne were very gracious host. Travel around town and vicinity was easy. Black bear diner was an excellent choice for breakfast. Would definitely return for another stay, (just stay longer next time)! Well worth the wait to go there!

Mark and J’Anne are awesome hosts, and their cute spot was perfect! Loved the pool, the decor inside the space, and best of all the thoughtfulness of the hosts. We were provided extra toothbrushes, plenty of coffee and creamer, they even had chilled beers waiting for us. How great is that?!! This little gem is technically a mother in law suite, but the place is very private for both sound and space. As J’Anne put it, it’s a benefit of having solid block walls! We felt completely safe and secure the entire stay. Would definitely recommend to others and will be returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay... just wish it had n=been for longer. The attention to detail inside the Desert Jewel was incredible. Exactly as advertised. Comfortable and well located close to highway access. Hope we can return some day.

Positives- Nice couple, clean, well equipped mother in laws pad, good location for food. Negatives- the property is connected to owners, shared walls and connecting door. Cat owners, cat in heat ALL night long, 4ft from the bed. I got no sleep and the owners knew it was doing it. Puzzling and frustrating they would allow it to be that close to the bedroom door/wall.

Wow, the Desert Jewel was so beautiful!! It has everything you need a pool. The decor and details in the apartment are amazing. I highly recommend staying here. Also, the owner is a gem!

Everything was wonderful. The decor is so charming and cozy. My husband and I loved it from the moment we got there. Mark and J'Anne were so kind and a joy to rent from. They really go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you could possibly need. Make sure you check in before you go to the store to get stuff you think you might need because the chance of them having it for you already is very high! Every detail is well thought-out and you can feel the love they put into this place. We hope to return in the near future!!

Loved the private pool and all the sweet Casita had to offer! Everything one needs to cook, relax and enjoy the sun of Arizona! The hosts family are so kind and accommodating! We will be back!!

Our one night stay was very relaxing. We had everything we needed and more. The details and decorations are so nice. We got in late after a long day, and check in was smooth and easy. Would love to stay again next time we are in the area. Highly recommend.

This Vrbo is one of the nicer ones I've stayed in. The kitchen had everything I could have possibly needed including a nice supply of coffee.The owner's were very nice and helpful. I had a lovely stay.

This was an excellent choice. We were greeted by the host and he helped my friend and I with our bags. He then gave us a tour of where we were staying and pointed out lights and the pool, things that may need extra explaining. Everything was as described online & excellent communication with hosts. The place is very lovely and it was perfect for our stay before heading back home. We would stay again. Thank you !

Just the most peaceful place you can imagine. All the wonderful amenities you could want. The hosts were great. So friendly and helpful with quick response always. The bed, pillows Heavenly. One of my favorites were the makeup mirror and Bench to sit on to do my makeup, wonderful. The bidet divine! The rooster crowing in the morning is so cool as you sit out on the beautiful Lanai in the back yard having your coffee.The pool area stunning, private and oh so enjoyable. Lots of different chairs to choose from with neat tables to go along with it. Great fire table to use and the outdoor lighting super cool. All the Keurig coffee, creamer , tea you need, they supply it all. They even have a cold one waiting for you in the fridge.The decor of Boho so fun. This is definitely an Oasis Dream. The Desert Jewel is a wonderful vacation stay! Everything is very clean and inviting. They have covered even small details. Very quiet and relaxing spot!

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, checking in if I needed anything frequently. The kitchen was well stocked and the private patio and yard were lovely to sit and enjoy the pool and birds. Nice to have a bit more of a neighborhood feel too.

Loved our stay and our hosts! We were only there for one night but this location has absolutely everything you need for a longer stay. Our hosts had a booklet that said having a bed and breakfast was always a dream of theirs, and it really shows when you walk into the property.Very comfy bed, amazing shower and a comfy couch for movies! Loved it.

Great bungalow that had everything you need…great open living room kitchen and an over the top bedroom with a great bath…all decorated beautifully. Also the hosts were great.

Mark and J’Anne were amazing hosts. We communicated through out the reservation process and there were always very responsive. Mark was waiting for us when we arrived, he showed us the property and answered any questions.

We've been using VRBO for about 10 years and this property is the best experience of all time. This is my 5* review but I am adding a .From the time we arrived, during our stay our hosts Mark and J'Anne were incredibly attentive. Every need met and questions answered within minutes.They take their Premier status seriously. Very private area, well equipped kitchen, very nice decor. Oh and the bed and pillows (probably the most important part of being comfortable) so comfy. My husband's first words in the outside area was, Wow it's so quiet. Thank you so much! We hope to return someday!

The dessert oasis is definitely an oasis. It was beautiful and quiet, just what I needed to unwind in the evenings.

We really enjoyed our visit. We had medical appointments and it was so nice to go back and relax. It’s was quiet and comfortable. The pool, even at 107, stayed cool enough to get in. There’s shopping and some restaurants very close. Thanks so much.

This little place was awesome. The living space had a smart TV with a convertible couch. The kitchen was stocked. Plates, convection over, air fryer, fridge. The bedroom was beautifully decorated. Water pressure was on point. Quiet neighborhood. The pool had this awesome little seating area that was nice and shaded. Would Def recommend this spot to anyone looking for a low cost stay.

Arizona is amazing, we really enjoyed our stay at the Jewel. Mark and Janne were welcoming, honest and accommodating. This turned out to be the perfect spot for us being close to our family in Gilbert. It was a great home base for day trips and the pool was awesome to return too after a day of sightseeing. I would recommend the Jewel to family and friends. Cheers

It was easy to find, when we got there mark came and greeted us, showed us around and had lovely recommendations for places to visit. Overall it was very clean, had everything we could have needed, and was a very nice place to stay for the weekend. Would recommend to anyone visiting Gilbert 10/10!!!

I take a trip somewhere every year for my birthday this year it was Gilbert Arizona, I chose this location and I couldn't have picked a better place. The hosts provide everything that you need. The pictures are accurate and they are extremely attentive. If you're looking for cute cozy getaway, I highly recommend this place.

This was the perfect stay for our cross country trip! Mark met us at the door and showed us everything(which I absolutely loved!) You’re kinda in their backyard mother in law suite but you have your own entire space. J’anne has it decorated so cute and has everything you could possibly need there! The surrounding town is super safe, being 2 girls alone, I didn’t feel unsafe at all. This will definitely be on my list to stay again. Honestly the best check in/out process I’ve had anywhere!

My mom and I were thrilled to return to The Jewel (Our 2nd stay) for sun, relaxation and to celebrate her 75th birthday. The hosts are wonderful, so warm and welcoming. The decor is beautiful. Their backyard is a treasure. The location is perfect, so close to downtown Gilbert. We enjoyed our favorite restaurants- Flancers, The Gilbert House and Joyride Taco to name a few. We loved our stay at The Jewel…here’s to many more!

Very comfortable, tastefully decorated place! Owner was very gracious and communicated well. We only stayed 1 night but definitely would come back!!

Communication was easy and efficient with the owners. The unit has everything you’d need for a short stay, including all the kitchen supplies a person would need including spices. The best part was the outdoor patio and pool. Although the pool isn’t heated and was too cool to swim in, we enjoyed sitting by it in the sun and listening to all the bird calls. Very relaxing stay.

Everything except a stove. No detail overlooked. Pool was lovely although a shame the filter motor is not in an enclosed space—a little noisy against the peace of the backyard.

Great place for a couple stay. Close to Gilbert and Chandler restaurants. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to the rest of Phoenix. Great communications and quick answers to any questions and recommendations for activities and food. Little cool for the pool in March but that will give us a reason to come back. Enjoyed the stay!!!

My sister and I had a wonderful stay at the Desert Jewel. The property is very well stocked. Our parents came to visit and having a large outdoor space with both sun and shade was terrific. Downtown is about a mile away. Once we got our footing, we found several nice routes off of the main drags to walk. Many parks nearby. Everything about the Jewel is beautiful, fantastic decor, all very tastefully done.

Our friendly host greeted us which we appreciated. It’s a really sweet little casita with a lovely area to sit outside by the pool. It’s very clean and well appointed. 3 day stay in Gibson prior to heading to the Grand Canyon. Great welcome by J when I arrived, which included 2 beers in the refrigerator. Electric charger for my electric rental vehicle came in handy. Clean pool. Fruit trees in the yard. Host encouraged me to visit cool and hip downtown Gibson, glad I did. So many places to eat and shop. Happy with my choice.

Casita was clean, spacious, with gracious hosts, special touches throughout. We had a wonderful stay.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Desert Jewel! Mark & J'Anne put a lot of love and effort into making our stay one of our favorite vrbo experiences yet. Mark met us when we arrived and did a quick tour of the house and offered us to any help we might need. The bnb is SO COZY! The ambiance, the fully stocked little keurig coffee bar, all the dishware, towels, blankets you'd need and it was so clean. I loved getting out to swim each day we were there. Being greeted by their cats and sweet dog were an added bonus! The location was great, the neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. It was also convenient to everywhere we needed to travel during our stay. I would definitely recommend staying at the Desert Jewel! You won't regret it. Thanks Mark & J'Anne!
