Lovely room with a beautiful view. Buttery sheets and the sauna were a major plus. One of the ceiling support beams may be a head clunker for those over 6 ft tall.

This is a fabulous neighborhood and the main house and grounds are magnificent. It is handy to stores and restaurants and close enough to Seattle to make day trips. But, it had its drawbacks. The unit had a very musty smell. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs in corners not to mention the dirty and moldy window frames and sills iyou found if you opened the blinds which were always down. If you plan on a multi day stay, plan on bringing paper plates , bowls and utensils. There were no knives at all and no sink appropriate for washing dishes. The mattress was old and did not give good support.

We had a lovely stay in Jocelyn's N Tacoma guest house. The space is well decorated and comfortable for two adult guests and the sauna is an added bonus. Jocelyn is a very accommodating host. When my husband had foot trouble during our stay, she provided fresh ice so he could cool the swelling. We also really enjoyed the neighborhood and views from the unit. There's nothing touristy about N Tacoma--we breakfasted at local eateries in the Proctor District and nearby Ruston and enjoyed both the food and the friendliness of the staff. If you want to spend a little time getting to know real Washingtonians, N Tacoma is a perfect place while also being close to area sightseeing destinations. One small tip to be aware of: The fridge in the unit is a cube--akin to a dorm room model. It was fine for our short stay, but good to know in advance if you are bringing anything large that requires refrigeration. All in all it was a great stay and location.

This was a gorgeous neighborhood with beautiful water views. We loved walking down to waterfront restaurants and public walking areas. 2 hours driving from Mt. Rainier and 30 mins from Seattle. We appreciated coffee and snacks available during our stay! The sauna was a nice touch. Suggestions for improvement:- Provide receptacle to store dirty dishes- Clear out cobwebs throughout space- Acknowledgment of our messages at check in and checkout- Provide more towels- Ensure driveway is clear of obstacles (floor mats from owners car were blocking our spot)Overall this stay met our needs while we visited the nationals parks and Seattle!

As we spent very little time in our room, it worked and was the right price. The neighborhood was very quiet, making it easy to sleep. Good water pressure in the shower. Owner was very helpful and there was good communication. A couple things I noted but did not drop my rating because of the the following ( in other words these are small things): lock box a bit difficult to operate, smelled a bit mildewy but maybe it was the sauna, would be nice to have had a shower mat and some extra towels but not a real big deal, and bed was too soft for our liking but we still slept sound as it was so quiet. We appreciated the good choices of coffee and snacks. We would stay here again.

The place was almost exactly what I expected. Only thing I can say is I wish the tv was a little more up to date with the size and connectivity. Sauna was super easy to use and worked well! Really no complaints though.

The property is fine -- no kitchen (microwave and mini-fridge only) -- but I didn't want/need a kitchen so that was just fine for me. It had a lock box which was difficult to operate and I ended up locking my key in the unit.

We loved this place. It was in a great location close to the proctor shopping and dining. Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, and a beautiful quiet neighborhood to relax at after a day of exploring. It's central to all the best areas of Tacoma. We are so happy we found this gem. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice little spot for 1 or 2 people. Noce host! There is a view of the ocean from the yard. The bed was comfortable, needs more pillows. I would suggest a floor fan & window fans for air circulation as the room gets stuffy without fresh air. The TV is a micro 24” screen - way too small.
