The property is simple, clean, and served our large group well. We ate most of our meals out and enjoyed the proximity to the Nordik Spa. Cooking breakfast was ok in the kitchen but the items and appliance are very well-loved and could perhaps use a slight renewal. It is also worth noting that the house may be more suitable for warmer seasons. The winter snow and cold made our stay more challenging as the heating was not always well-distributed and the air was extremely dry (the toddlers in our group really struggled). The private road to the house is uphill and requires four-wheel drive if snowy. One of our cars was a rental, and unfortunately only had all-season tires. lt took an hour to get the van up the hill after heavy snow -- many of us had to push the car up; the host was responsive to our call and helped strategize. He eventually took our his pickup truck and towed the van up the last stretch.Overall, we felt the host was there for us when we needed. Thank you for being attentive and helpful.

Very relaxing place with lots of space for sleeping and socializing. We went to Spa Nordik, which was very close by. Great location. Nicely appointed kitchen.

Spacious rooms, beautiful artwork, two different areas for gathering—one far away from the bedrooms, so no worries about disturbing sleepers. Well-appointed kitchen. Lovely location and friendly owner

Fantastic property, we (7ppl) came from Calgary to cheer on our son-in-law for the Ironman competition. Our daughter recommended this area due to its proximity to Meech Lake and other attractions; trails, pubs, restaurants - didnt disappoint. Our hosts were accessible yet low-key, give great advice on the area without any sense of being intrusive. By far the EASIEST checkout we've ever been asked to complete...kept looking for a second page with the rest of the instructions! LoL We'll be back if its available - Paul

The location was great -- so easy to get to Ottawa, but also near some local gems in Quebec. The village of Chelsea is so charming, and so many treasures that are near the house. The house was very roomy and we didn't feel crowded with 10 guests. Everyone had a great place to sleep. The kids loved the games room area. It was nice they could have a place to hang out.We had a lovely fire on our first night there and got to see some fireflies!

Was a great getaway for a staff strategy retreat. We will return for our next planning session. The games room on the lower floor was fantastic but it was too cold for us so we didn't use it.

We were met with zero surprises and everything was exactly as we expected from the description and photos. It was a great place to relax and use as a home base while we were visiting in Canada. The drive into Ottawa was short and easy from this guesthouse. We especially appreciated access to a washer and dryer. This house has plenty of space, which is always a bonus!

We stayed here for the trip to the nearby Nordik Spa. It was a great place to gather with a group of friends. We loved the game room downstairs. The kitchen was rather small, but we weren't planning on an elaborate meal, so it worked out great. It was nice having 2 1/2 baths with such a large group of girls. We definitely plan on returning someday.

This was a lovely, large, clean rambling house. The owner was quick to respond to any issues we had. It does need a dishwasher, which he is installing soon. Also, it is not good for anyone with any mobility issues as there are steps in the entryway and an unexpected step to a landing in front of 2 of the bathrooms. The owner has installed motion activated lights to help avoid falls at night.

Our extended family stayed here and had a very lovely time. Close to all the Old Chelsea restaurants, the park, and not far at all from downtown Ottawa. The host was helpful and friendly and we had a great stay. The house was very quiet, plenty of space for everyone and good layout for kids to go to sleep early. Couldn’t haven been better!

Our trip to Ottawa would not be possible if we hadn’t connected with Trevor. After our original reservation was cancelled the morning of, Trevor welcomed us into his beautiful home. We loved our time spent enjoying the comfy beds, great little kitchen that had it all, shuffle board and tons of DVD options! The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to go on our trip. Thank you Trevor for your kindness and for helping us have a wonderful vacation as a family, despite the initial challenges.

Our group (2 families with kids and the grandparents) enjoyed staying at the Nature Guesthouse. It was a convenient location from which to explore the nation's capital and Gatineau Park. The house was not as clean as other guests have mentioned (there was old coffee in the percolator, unwashed pans in the oven and a half-eaten apple left on the railing). However it was a nice setting for our family gathering and had plenty of space for everyone. A dishwasher or a better sink and drying rack set-up would be useful. I wish we could come back in the winter to try the sauna and enjoy the xc-skiing!

There were eight of us visiting Ottawa for the first time. The house had plenty of room, the homeowners live in the house next door. They were helpful but left us alone to enjoy ourselves. The drive to Ottawa was easy and mostly highway. House was stocked with what we needed and the little town was cute.

This was a great place for all 9 of our family. Tasteful decor with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and very pleasant seating and dining area. Gaming and TV room was a nice touch. Hosts on the property were a great benefit and fun to interact with. They are very generous with all the amenities including outside activities. Highly recommended!
