The communication was difficult - the owner did phone once, but we were cut off. The property is untidy, pool is green and tennis court has had no use for years. Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... The rooms had uncomfortable beds and barely a sheet on them, and towels were hard and ancient. Two cots were inadequate for adult use and the room had massive cobwebs everywhere. Breakfast was scant and mainly bread, some cheese and unfiltered coffee. We were charged €10 but the VRBO site says €5.... Once when sitting in the living room (I thought was part of the common area!) I was threatened that the police would be called. I would advise travellers to avoid this place until some kind of review is done.

This is a very unique place to stay in an old historic chateau overlooking the river and the city of Lyon France. The gardens and house could use some repair but the house was clean and very interesting place to stay. We had a car so parking was nice being out of the city. We opted for a home cooked meal for dinner and breakfast. The food was good and organic local foods.

Very nice location near Lyon, house is a special of it's kind, great to visit the town, good for relaxation, connection is great, easy to find all near by. Property is a fantastic place to stay, Pool is great, kids loved it. Breakfast in the sun with a great view! WLAN access could be a bit improved for upper floor. Thanks Florence for preparing this original breakfast and all the explanations...

A special location with great views and within an easy bus, cycle, or walk of the delights of Lyon and the beautiful parcs Miribel and Tete d'Or. Florance and her parents are congenial and thoughtful hosts, breakfast is delicious, conversation is enjoyable and easy in English. Looking forward to returning Tim and Hadda

The property is on 1 hectare (2 acres) on top of a hill overlooking Lyon. You enjoy a fabulous breakfast on the patio that overlooks Lyon. There is a wonderful pool in a landscaped area. The house is in great repair and everything is super clean. The owner/manager is a delightful and highly accomplished woman who grew up on the property. Her parents assist with breakfast and various other tasks. She gave us great suggestions of things to do and see. A great place for going into the city or as a base to explore the surrounding towns.
