A great place for a staycation or for vacation. Beautiful view. Wonderful spot for afternoon walks and weekend hikes. Close to shopping. Donna is wonderful!!!
This was just the right home base for us this weekend. Donna made sure we had everything we needed. We barely had time to scratch the surface of all the area has to offer. Glorious view of the sunrise over the lake. Hope to come and stay again!
We had to find a place to stay temporarily… and Donna was willing to work with and our schedules. She’s been an amazing host. The best we’ve rented from.
Wow! Where to begin our amazing weekend away. The location was PERFECT! Yes you can walk down to the bay from the house. It was a bit more work for us with a little one going down the hill, but it was perfect for the 1st day since the weather wasnt the greatest. The casita is just like the photos. This place had EVERYTHING you needed. Seasonings for food, syrup for pancakes, coffee etc. Even ziplocks ans tupperwear. I loved that everything was labeled (what sheets went to what, extra towels etc). No need for ac the bay breeze was great. We had two cars and followed donnas directions. Our car safe in the extra lot down the street. The place was just what we need for our family. We had a great stay. If you want to take a trip down memory lane check out there dvd collection.this is definitely a favorite place and will be back next summer! Thanks so much Donna.
Donna is a wonderful host. She’s there if you need her, but isn’t intrusive. The Casita was everything we had hoped. Lake Folsom is beautiful and has hiking trails if you are so inclined. A great place to stay. We will be back.
My second time here was just as lovely as the first. The lake was much fuller this time and the sound of it at night was so peaceful. Loved it!
Perfect stay on a great location!
Pleasant
We enjoyed a relaxing stay. Check in was easy and communication with host was great. The place was very clean in a very nice quiet neighborhood. Overall would highly recommend.
Note, this is the first negative review I'm writing after many VRBO stays. The Casita is WITHIN the main home, so you're sharing space with other guests and the walls are thin. The family staying in the main home was incredibly loud and up till 2:30/3:00 am. Every time they slammed a door, the entire Casita shook. The only thing separating the Casita from the main home is a glass sliding door, so with several young men staying in the main house, I was not comfortable with just the clear slider separating us. The space appeared to be in slight disrepair. For example, a large mirror was laying against the bedroom wall and appeared to have fallen off long ago. And the closet light would come on randomly during the night. The smart TV has no instructions so wasn't able to get it to work. The one parking spot requires you to schlep up a long flight of stairs and a VERY steep driveway. Don't bring groceries or much of anything you don't want to drag up and down the driveway and stairs. Not a great place for a woman traveling alone due to previously mentioned glass divider. Neighborhood has many Trump flags flying still (Oct 2022), but the lake access is great.
Fantastic! Ease of assimilation. I'll remain until the 18th IF I could/can. My 3 other VRBO canceled while I was at SHOWINGS. Cancelation at such Late terminus, 6- 22 hr then @ 24hr. My flight out is on the 18th. I have 5 scheduled tours tomorrow.
I've stayed at this property multiple times when visiting family & friends. It is a perfect, serene area of Folsom. The view of the lake is magnificent!!
We enjoyed our quiet stay at the casita. The house and view are beauitful. We love the art work and all the supplies added to the house for guest use. Thank you for everything, Donna!
1. Didn’t get check-in info. until less than an hour before scheduled arrival. 2. Couldn’t work smart tv. Asked for help. None forthcoming. 3. Shower rod and curtain crashed onto my wife’s head when she took her first shower. Very cautious and careful after that!
Very nice getaway.
We loved, loved, loved our stay here! The suite is beautiful, with classy, comfortable furniture and stunning lake views. The garden in front is sweet and calming; I loved sitting on the little balcony, looking at the garden while I sipped my morning beverage. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed, and we were able to cook meals. My favorite? This place is perfect for a person with allergies: The cleaning products used are very low-scent, there is absolutely no mold, and the living room furniture is leather. The only caution I would give is about stairs: Guests must be able to walk a steep driveway and climb 16 steps in a single, long staircase. The top step is the first step into the kitchen, with no landing. If I had toddlers, I would be nervous about them falling down the stairs, because the stairs start right next to the kitchen table. That was not a concern for us, though, because our children are older. We LOVED staying here, and hope to stay again in the future. Thank you, Donna!
Stayed here for a couple of nights to attend my nephews wedding celebrations. Perfectly maintained with one big befroom and a great living area. Great breeze comins from the lake. Did a couple of trail hikes by the lake. Bed was great. Had a comfortable stay. No issues
Wonderful view, lovely area, great walking trails! Fabulous attention to detail. Loved every minute!
Driving over the hill to the house your greeted with an expansive view of the lake that is beautiful. Used caution walking down the steep driveway to the welcoming entrance. Upon entering the front door your greeted with a staircase up to the cottage living area which is very comfortable, lovely views and lots of conveniences. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the lovely lakeshore. Lots of entertainment nearby and boat rental facilities at the nearby marinas. Donna the owner was available by text our entire visit and accommodating. Go for it!
We stayed in the Casita; the lake view is beautiful, the bed is comfortable, the shower is awesome and the lake shore trails are lovely and relaxing. Our host, Donna, took very good care of us. Thank you, Donna! We also rented some Oru Inlet foldable kayaks at SUP California in Folsom and we went kayaking on Lake Natoma. It was the perfect little getaway!
All was perfect. The only snag we had was parking… we were not sure where to park when someone was in our spot…
Nice and quiet; great views
So nice to wake up to such views and be at the lake with such ease. This place was very clean and Donna was so quick to help. Bed is uber comfortable, with all necessities top notch.
I have stayed at this location numerous times, and will continue to do so. I travel regularly into the area, and have no desire to stay anywhere else. The location is right on Folsom Lake. A great area for running, which I do. Quiet neighborhood and close to amenities. Donna, the host, is great!!
