Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent 6 very enjoyable days at Les Hauts de Fondanger. It was rather difficult to find when we arrived in the night - it would have been very helpful to have had a detailed map emailed to us in advance. It is set in a peaceful location on the hills behind Terrasson, with a lovely panoramic view over the hills and valleys, providing a fresher climate on particularly hot days. Even though set in the countryside, it is just 5 minutes drive to the local supermarket and the townships of Cublac & Terrasson. There are country lanes and paths on the doorstep, to go walking on. The standard of the accommodation is 5 star, very spacious, comfortable and modern, even with electric shutters on all the windows! Use of the indoor pool was a great bonus. Evelyne provides very sumptuous breakfasts with fresh, organic produce and makes every effort to cater for your preferences. She is also very flexible with the timing of breakfast and kindly provided us with an early morning feast when we were heading off canoeing! We also received recommendations for some great restaurants, again within only 5 minutes drive. Although the website states that it is self-catering, be aware that although there is a fully equipped kitchen, one is encouraged just to use the microwave. We will certainly return if there is a vacancy when we next come to visit family. R & C
