Building and grounds were well maintained. Room was spotless. Inn is in a great location, one block off Duval area, away from the crowds. Porch with rocking chairs was very nice. Occasional noises from roosters at 4am, construction at house across the street, fire station around the corner, loud cars at traffic light out front, and low planes overhead (very low) landing at the airport were annoying but unavoidable anywhere on the island.

We were celebrating our 15th anniversary and loved that it was adults-only. This was, hands down, the cleanest “hotel” bed I’ve ever slept in. The check in and check out process was easy, and we appreciated being able to use the parlor and pool until we needed to leave for our flight. The pool was unfortunately not working for almost our entire stay; the water was ice cold and didn’t appear to be circulating. We assumed this was just how it was and made other plans (beach, Dante’s pool) until we noticed it was fixed and heated/running for our very last day. We would have appreciated communication for that, but ultimately we really did enjoy our stay and would stay at this property again! The location was perfect (and will be so peaceful once the major construction across the street finishes). It was close enough to walk everywhere but removed enough to have a quiet night’s sleep. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I particularly appreciated the lobby where I could go to read and drink my morning coffee while waiting for my husband to wake up. The location is excellent - very central for walking to different attractions. It's also mostly quiet although the house across the street was being renovated while we were there so there was some construction noise if you were enjoying the outdoor porches. Same for the jetliners frequently passing overhead - we weren't bothered by this in the room but on the porch they were conversation stoppers. Although they were responsive, I found the method of communication on the part of the 'Virtual Innkeeper' off-putting. Communication consisted of emails and text messages, some of which were rude. The concierge service was outstanding. Our concierge, Greta, was terrific. She booked asailing trip, tours and bicycles for us. Super helful and pleasant to work with.

Close enough to Duvall to walk to all the restaurants and shops but far enough away to enjoy quiet in the pool under the palms and other trees.

The renovation of the property made it very comfortable while keeping the charm of this historic building. The bathroom is great and the bed is comfortable. It is also surprisingly quiet considering it's proximity to Duval St. The location is fabulous - an easy walk to many of the places we love. Not having staff onsite took a little getting used to but coffee supplies and fresh pool towels were plentiful and accessible, and the innkeepers replied quickly to my texts when I had a question.

Scarlet Mago was incredible! Close to everything, room was beautiful and so clean, it had up to date bathroom yet kept with the nostalgia of old Florida. House was redone, with pool incircled with lush landscaping for privicy. Parking is an issue, finding a space you had to walk blocks. Pay parking lots were either full or up to 50 overnight. We have been to Key West over 10 times, I would definitely stay here again! A hidden gem

It would be nicer if that light were not so bright. As well, the lights on the balcony for the holidays are lovely, but, again, shine right into the room. I would have preferred not so much outside light into the room. And, the roosters begin crowing at about 2:45 each morning. I know that's part of the feel of the island, but they crow on and off for about 2 hours until about 4:30-5 a.m. Because it's a house, I know that's not to be avoided, but you should know that it happens, so bring a very loud sound machine.

We have stayed at the Scarlet Mango in now three times and each time we are so pleased with our stay! The boutique pool is so unique in that you feel like your home away from home. The rooms are bright and airy and so welcoming that I take advantage of laying in the big cozy bed longer than I should! We look forward to the amazing Halloween decor even though the place couldn’t be any prettier :) we look forward to this trip every year!!
