My family and I stayed for my niece's wedding. It was a great setting for her to prepare for her wedding. Excellent location for photos. We were very comfortable.
Beautiful stay near Westport and Fairfield CT. Amazing property, charming house, and great hosts. Spent my bachelorette weekend here and left wishing I had a few more days to enjoy the house, pool, and surroundings! Would recommend to any group/friends/family wanting a relaxing stay close to some beautiful Connecticut towns.
We had a group of 11 stay here for bachelorette long weekend - everything was ideal! The pool, patio and gardens were all stunning! We loved the outdoor fire pit, the grill, and the comfortable bedrooms. Durelle was so helpful and communicative which made check in a breeze, plus she recommended some local restaurants, and even had extra water delivered for the pool so we could enjoy the facilities to the fullest despite the dry spell we've had this summer. Truly such a great trip, and we would all come back again! Thank you so much for the perfect setting for our special weekend!
My friends and I had an amazing time. This was my second time staying at the property having previously visited in the winter. Staying in the summer was exceptional. You feel like you’ve been transported into a French country side with beautiful flower and herb gardens and a phenomenal secluded pool surrounded by nature. The fire pit on the back patio is beautiful and offers an exceptional way to wind down at night. The interior is equipped with everything you need to make the stay perfect and Durelle was incredibly accommodating and lovely to work with. We had a 6 course tasting and pairing meal and the kitchen had all the things needed to make and serve each course. I will be back in the future for sure.
We enjoyed our stay in Easton. The property is beautiful and the hosts were extremely responsive. The pool was perfect and the lawn was a great spot for an early morning barre class. We enjoyed dinner on the patio around the firepit and there was ample space for us to feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend this home!
My sisters & I go away every year for a long weekend. (7) This year we came here. The house is great. Small kitchen but totally workable. Plenty of space for everyone. Loved the buffet, we turned it into a DIY Sangria Bar. It was just perfect. Our favorite was the pool. We loved the pool. We were fortunate and had sunny days, and the pool is just gorgeous. We floated for hours and hours. Heated by the sun, it was refreshing. If there was a bathroom at the pool, we would have stayed all day. The patio was awesome. We enjoyed the fresh herbs, and Durelle made us feel so welcome. She always answered any concern, quickly. We had no TV, and she came and fixed that as well. The dogs were very friendly too. There was plenty of space for visiting, hanging out, eating, and sleeping. We visited the local winery, Umpauwaug, and had a great time. Also Silverman's Farm. Thanks for the great time, All the Sisters....
If you are looking for something nice but don't plan on being at the house at all, this would work for sleeping only. First, the rugs that are all over the house are VERY painful to walk on, you'll have to wear flip flops or thick socks to be able to walk around comfortably. The rugs are painful to the feet, I do not suggest walking around bare foot. Next is that the TV in the first room where you walk in, has 3 large lines across the screen, it wasn't mentioned to me (I had to mention it to the host) The Fridge leaks water all over the floor (again, I mentioned it, there was no warning) Some of the furniture is uncomfortable to sit in for LONG periods of time, be mindful or you'll be achy. The bed in the first bedroom on the first level, is VERY hard and the pillows are VERY soft, considering how hard the bed is.. my neck and back was WRECKED. The decor is too much, we had to be stressed about putting everything back the way we found it, but we had to move things in order to function, set up food, put our stuff down etc. We were super stressed about the layout and hoping to get everything put back properly. THE POOL- BEAUTIFUL, however when we booked this house, we bought floaties for the pool, and fun things to do.. one week before we go, we get a super long VERY detailed PDF about no floaties for the pool and that we had to be out of it by 7pm. Sadly our night swim plans were no longer allowed. The pool temp was very cold, we got used to it, but it was unenjoyable because it was freezing. The fire pit, we didn't bother with -again because of the no roasting marshmallows rule. We planned for smores and couldn't do that either. It would be best to have this PDF sent to the guest BEFORE payment is made so that the guests have the option to change their mind or continue booking. We wasted money on swim rings and flamingo can floaties, smores ingredients and more because of all the very specific rules that were given to us with no time to cancel without losing our money that was paid to the host. I would only stay here as a sleeping low key option and if you have time to enjoy the pool.. feel free, however YOU are responsible to close the umbrellas as well. Why stay somewhere when you are required to do all of the work? Which brings me to my next point, I paid a cleaning fee but I had to strip the beds? Kinda strange to me when my sisters and I paid a heavy price to stay here.. Be aware of all the rules before you pay.
We loved loved loved our stay here. The house was so perfect
We had a girls trip with all family members. We had a great time, the house was wonderful and Durell the property owner was amazing, she was so nice and and we loved their dog winston. We loved every second of our stay and would definitely go back:)
We were a group of 6-- a PERFECT home for us! The home is charming, gracious and beautiful. Scott was so accommodating and readily available, friendly and was there immediately upon our arrival. I highly recommend the option of a catered dinner, wonderful choices and delivered to our door at an agreed upon time. It was DELICIOUS! Thank you Scott, we all had a fabulous time in your most amazing carriage house. Only regret is we did not get to meet your dogs. We are all dog people :) Scott even provided us with glorious weather ! This was a real find. THANK YOU.
