Downtown Manteo with Secret Garden

Once I figured out how gwt into the room after a couple of helpful calls to the owner, I was very pleased with how well equipped it was, the room(s) had everything I needed even if I just wanted to stay in.

This was a wonderful find - walking distance to Manteo. The décor is a cozy mix of old world nautical and Homegoods accents. The garden truly is a delight with a cozy gazebo to curl up with a cocktail and book. Firm, but super comfortable bed. The bathroom was super clean and contemporary - so rare in most private rentals.

Very nicely decorated apartment. Garden area was beautiful with covered seating to sit outside. Walk to the water and shopping at the end of the street. The only downside was you could hear the people above you walking around in the middle of the night and early morning. We did enjoy our stay here

I loved the location and the grounds were beautiful. The rooms were a bit dark because of all the wood paneling and I had trouble with the TV. Instructions would be helpful for those of us who are not tech savvy.

We have stayed here multiple times. Patrick and his family are so nice and great to work with. The unit is nice and comfortable. We enjoy the separate living room from the bedroom. The location is walking distance from downtown Manteo. But far enough to be quiet at night. We have always enjoyed our time staying here and look forward to our next trip.

The property is in a great location and has a magnificent garden in the backyard. Grab your coffee or glass of wine and walk around the lovely backyard. Restaurants, shopping, and the Roanoke Festival Park are all within walking distance of the property. Fabulous! Be sure to try Olives and Restaurant 1587. There are plenty of fresh towels and an updated bathroom. One thing to note, there is a coffee maker and a small mini fridge only. They have stocked the one bedroom with a few necessities if you happen to bring a meal back to the apartment and sit at the dining table in the family room space. Last thing, there is a rum distillery across the street. The staff is super friendly and gave us a quick tour when we stopped in to check out the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Very nice accommodations. Pics are accurate. Garden area in back is really better than the pictures portray. Easy walk to the downtown Manteo district. Management response to minor issues was immediate. We would go again.

Another great holiday weekend in Manteo. The place was great and quiet. It is walking distance to downtown and all the shops.

Space is two rooms with a bathroom. Was fantastic location for us. 1/2 mile from the music pavilion. Downtown even closer. Host was super attentive to a TV problem and came over to fix it. Has a small fridge with microwave All we needed because we ate out. Brought breakfast stuff which is all we needed. Soundproofing was good. A person could watch TV while the other went to sleep All you need to have a great weekend with your partner.

Nice and clean, there happened to be some exterior construction going on during my stay but workers were nice and didn't start too early. Just meant I had to park across the street. Location is good and a short walk to downtown shops. Would stay again.

Owner pro-actively contacted me to make sure I was all set for entry. Unfortunately, there was a Palmetto bug issue, which I informed the owner about and I assume it was addressed.

Perfect for my husband and I to stay in for the weekend while in town for a wedding!

This was a comfortable accommodation with an enjoying garden to hang out in. The walkability to all the cute town of Manteo was fantastic. We enjoyed walking to the coffee shop everyday and the distillery across the street was a fun place to spend the evenings. It is an easy drive to all of the OBX and we liked calling this home for a couple of days. One suggestion, move the kitchenette items from the bedroom and into the living room area with the dining table. I would have enjoyed being able to make my coffee not in the room my husband was trying to sleep in or hearing the refrigerator all night long. But this was a minor nuisance of our stay

Super convenient location to explore the quaint village of Manteo. Walk to the shops, restaurants and historical sights. Wonderfully restored interior space in an older home. Nicely appointed, comfortable bed, and great a/c. Would highly recommend.

This is perfect for a couple seeking quiet, cozy comfort. Walkable to downtown and your nightcap to go is across the street at the distillery. Close drive to the beach but the advantage over oceanfront is being able to walk to good eats and bars. Try Firetender, great service pizza and smash burgers. This location feels less touristy than points north in obx and we will stay again

Nice accommodations in a great location. Met our needs.

The suite was very nice , clean and easy access to everything! The only downside was you could hear the guest upstairs and their bed frame needed some DW40 ( if you know what I mean ) . I would definitely recommend this beautiful suite and would stay again

We had a great time even though it was winter. Suite was clean and well appointed. The gardens were beautiful and peaceful

We traveled down Thanksgiving evening and spent the weekend in Manteo. The Downtowner is our favorite place to stay. The stores and restaurants are within walking distance.

We have stayed here several times. The owners are so nice and responsive. The place is great, the bed is comfortable and the living room has plenty of space.
