Double Ensuite with Sea View at The Helaina

We received a lovely warm welcome. The whole place was lovely and clean, well presented. The breakfast was unbeatable - selection of cereals, fruit salads, preserves. Hubby had the cooked Yorkshire breakfast which was hot, cooked to perfection and well presented, I had the salmon and poached eggs first day which was lovely, but a bit too much salmon for me. The other 2 days I had the 3 egg omelette which was delicious. The lady serving breakfast was very friendly.

Everytime we stay in Scarborough there is no where we would rather stay . Extremely clean great breakfast and lovely staff

The Helaina is a spotless, comfortable place to stay with fantastic breakfasts. The staff are very friendly and we all feel happy staying here. We were a party of 3 couples who have stayed here twice now and another couple of friends joined us and all 8 of us enjoyed it. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great rooms with excellent facilities. Tidy and comfortable with kind and welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast and the hotel decor is outstanding.

Lovely quiet location, room nice and clean, high standards especially the modern bathroom. Little touches ie bath robes, toiletries etc. Manager was very welcoming and explained all about breakfast choices, times etc. a really relaxing break. Will definitely be returning.

The weather, concert at the open air theatre, Snow Patrol well worth seeing, Scarborough arms for food and drink. Bri

Beautiful views lovely seating area across the road if you want to be outside equally as nice from the rooms very clean and very well kept and the full Yorkshire breakfast was very yummy

A comfortable small double room. Well maintained property with quality decor. Liked most..sea view with also public garden view, easy parking. North beach but still convenient for the centre.

We liked everything, apart from the room being a little bit small. I am in hospitality myself and know how hard it is to keep standards of hygiene and cleanliness to the level you are maintaining. We loved the breakfast and Millie was so helpful when we were wondering where to put the parking badge on the bike.! We also loved the sea view which was a real sea view, unlike some hotels where you have a glimpse over rooftoops. I have posted a 5 star review already on google

The Helaina is in a lovely location not far from both bays. As said above lovely place to stop with a well stocked honesty bar. Return again and again

Tom and Jill, always make us feel so welcome, they can't do enough for us, when we visit, the staff are also wonderful, The bedrooms are beautiful, and the breakfast, is always amazing, choices are great This trip I took a friend with me, and he couldn't get over how nice everyone was, Can't wait till we can visit again, And hopefully, the penthouse room, will be free, as it is outstanding, The views from all the rooms, in the front of the Helena, look out onto the sea, highly recommend

We arrived early in order to get parked up and intended to go for a walk. We were greeted warmly and told our room was ready so we checked in. The room had a lovely view, was cosy, clean and very comfortable. It was well stocked with teas and coffees and toiletries in the bathroom. We slept really well in the comfy bed and had a fab breakfast in the morning. Staff couldn’t be more friendly or do enough for us. Would stay here again for definite!

The location is good not far out of centre, the rooms are lovely and clean, we have stayed here before in the penthouse, this time we went with friends in two double rooms very clean and everything you need, our friends have already said they will go back. Breakfast is lovely and the staff are very friendly nothing too much trouble .

Room was extremely small, offered an upgrade at the back of the hotel which was really nice but we booked for a sea view so declined the offer. Breakfast was great, would have like some fresh bread rolls on the continental offering, rather than just toast. The hotel was lovely & warm & inviting, & extremely clean in a great location.

We’ve stayed here several times, it’s a great b&b, location is perfect for town & seafront, staff are always friendly & helpful.

The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms well stocked with tea/ Coffee etc. Great bath towels and supply of toiletries. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

All staff 'regulars and new' very Friendly and Welcoming. Comfortable Bed. Meeting other frequent guests from previous stays.

On entering helaina it’s very clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly ,the rooms are very comphy and clean,and the views are amazing

The customer service was excellent , the room was beautiful and the breakfast service was also excellent along with the breakfast. Well done to Tom, gill and their team.

The room was very clean and had plenty on the welcome tray. The breakfast was lovely and you got exactly what you asked for so the hotel weren’t wasting food and you had on your plate what you wanted to eat. Extra tea or coffee and toast was no problem. They had a bar with an honesty box which was great if you wanted another drink when you got back late although we didn’t use this facility.

Lovely welcome, everything clean and well presented and breakfast very good.
