UPDATED May 5, 2026.

If interested in boat or ski, please let us know ASAP as we rent them standalone at times.

Enjoy the clean waters of Norris Lake, a premier lake of the Southeast, with this cozy 2nd floor studio suite in a residential area. Our above garage suite sits less than 250 ft from our private dock in Fisherman's Cove on a gentle slope. Unless you are in a very low car, you can drive down to the dock. A Stand up Paddleboard, kayaks, and large water mat are provided for your use free of charge and a tritoon boat and jet ski can be rented for an additional fee. * Additional tritoon/ski info at bottom.

Located 10 minutes from Exit 122 on I-75. There are many marinas on Norris Lake with restaurants, bars, boat/PWC rentals, fuel, and live music nearly every night of the week between Memorial and Labor Days! We are within 10-15 miles by water from most of the popular spots--including Stardust, Sequoyah, Shanghai, Whitman Hollow, Waterside, Norris Dam, Springs, Deerfield, Mountain Lake, Twin Cove, Sugar Hollow and the Jumping Bridge (Cedar Creek). By water, we are located between Sequoyah Marina and Anderson County Park. See marina info, event schedules, and maps here: http://www.norrislakemarinas.org/events/ or Download the events guide for 2023 here: http://www.norrislakemarinas.org/lake-visitor-guide/

The suite will sleep 5 comfortably, but we have an inflatable mattress to accommodate two more. It features all-new bedding and furniture, including one queen bed, one pull-out sleeper sofa (queen), one pull out sleeper chair (single), dresser, chest of drawers, and large LCD TV (with Dish), and gas grill. The kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and two-burner hot plate. The bathroom has a walk in shower and vanity. Previous guests should note we have upgraded the HVAC in the suite to a quieter and more powerful unit, as well as new decking

The suite is accessible only by stairs.

We can accommodate parking for two vehicles and a boat trailer if bringing your own, though please let us know in advance if bringing a trailer so we can make space.

We live in the main house year-round, so you may see us in the driveway, yard, or down at the dock, depending on the day, but we won't pester you.

Feel free to contact us before booking with any questions you may have.

You may moor up alongside our private dock if renting or bringing a boat, or use it for your swimming, lounging, or fishing pleasure. We also have two open Jet Ski ports available if you are bringing PWC's, as well as a KayaArm to make launching a kayak a breeze. Our cove is seasonal and our dock is usable at lake level 1012 and over. We typically will be over 1014 from Mid-April through Labor Day. Please see below regarding lake level.

SATURDAYS: We typically do not allow stays to begin or end on a Saturday because we're often away those days. Please feel free to contact us if you'd like to request an exception. There are situations under which we can accommodate and we will respond quickly.

*Tritoon and Jet Ski rental Info: Our Tritoon rental boat is 26 foot Veranda Tritoon with a 200 HP four stroke motor. It will seat 12 adults and travel ~32 mph depending on load, and will pull most towables, wakeboarder or slalom skier. We have plenty of life jackets and a flat-deck style innertube you may use, as well as a knee board. It has AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth/USB connectivity, GPS Chartplotter/fish finder, popup changing room, bimini top, and large overstuffed furniture and sunpad. From May 1 through Labor Day the rent is $360 per day + gas. Any additional days receive a 10% discount. After Labor Day through April, we rent the boat for $285 a day. Just bring it back with a full tank of gas. There is a refundable damage deposit of $250 required. I can add the tritoon as a fee due before check-in. If our dock is not available (see below), the boat will be docked at nearby Sequoyah Marina. We also have a JetSki (PWC) for rent. It is a four stroke 3 seater that will run ~55mph and pull towables. We rent it only from Mid-April through Mid-Sept for $285 per day plus gas. Any additional days receive a 10% discount. There is a $250 refundable damage deposit. NOTE: Renters must have a valid boaters license or Boaters Safety Course OR complete the free online safety course at https://www.rentalboatsafety.com/ and provide proof of completion no more than 7 days before the rental. Due to insurance requirements and state law, we will be required to obtain a copy of proof of course completions.

***Lake Levels during off season and current: Our floating dock will no longer be usable when the water level is below 1012 feet above sea-level. Typically, the lake comes up over that in early April and remains there until at least Labor Day, though in 2024, the lake was lowered early. Historic levels back to 2021 can be seen at this link: http://www.norrislake.info/Level.asp . Rain and downstream water demands cause it to fluctuate from year to year. As of May 5, 2026, we are in a historic drought with only trace rain since February. Our dock is only partially floating as the lake level is currently at 1011 ft above sea level. We hope to have the use of our dock by the end of next week, but we desperately need rain. The outer edge of the dock is in about a foot of water, but the inside edge is still sitting on the bank. We cannot currently get a boat into our slip and can only nose up a pontoon to the outside. Check back for updates and please raindance when you can!

At low winter pool, the lake's edge is ~100 feet from the dock and one can easily walk down to it. Sequoyah Marina and Stardust Marina are each less than 5 minutes away by road and offer overnight mooring along their causeway for ~$15 a night. We continue to rent the tritoon most of the year, but will move it to the neighboring marina (Sequoyah) where you can access it. Sequoyah is about 2 miles away by road. If you have any questions regarding this, please don't hesitate to reach out.

If your are looking for seclusion this is the place. It was perfect for my wife and I and two adult children. Short drive to several marina's that which have great menu's. ten - fifteen minute drive to local town with walmart and several drive thru's and several local diners. Outdoor museum nearby, and only fifteen minutes off the highway. Swim off private doc, paddle boats, fish, pontoon, great lake.

Loved staying here! The homeowner was great with communication and the suite was stocked perfectly for all of our needs. Loved taking advantage of the lake toys and the dock. The suite was so clean and comfortable. It was located not too far from Knoxville so we even made a day of exploring the city. We really enjoyed the stay and hope to come back again next year.

From start to finish our stay was amazing. Derrick and Meredith were very helpful and welcoming. The property is gorgeous with so much to see and explore. We did rent the tritoon and had an amazing day on Norris Lake. We could not have asked for better hosts. The room was equipped with more than we needed. Hands down would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

The hubby and I decided to take a trip without the family and just needed a small intimate place to sleep & hang while we explored. It’s always I feel a coin toss what you might show up to but even though we thought it might be uncomfortable with the owners on site, it was the total opposite. Derek and Meredith were extremely caring and hospitable. They enhanced our trip with their above & beyond customer service & their local suggestions of things to do just topped off our vacation.

We were interested in a lake weekend at Norris Lake. This property is right on the water, and it also has a dock that you can use. We brought our own kayaks, paddle boards, and JetSki, so that was very convenient. The lodging itself is a unit above a large, three car garage. Very nice inside with everything that you need. It is one big space though, so think about that if you need separate rooms, bedrooms, etc. It is great for a couple. The host is very nice and responsive. Good information and tips for the lake. No problems with anything. If we need more lake time, we would be happy to return!
