Welcome to Casa de Monte Vista, a historic Old Spanish estate nestled in Palm Springs’ prestigious Old Las Palmas neighborhood. Our name means “House with the Mountain View,” and our property sits at the base of a majestic 10,000-foot mountain, offering beautiful desert and mountain views.

Casita Verde is one of four private, poolside casitas on the estate. It features a private entrance, covered patio, comfortable king-size bed, kitchenette, tiled bathroom with walk-in shower, Wi-Fi, and Apple TV—everything you need for a relaxing Palm Springs getaway.

Just steps from the casita is our solar-heated, warm saltwater pool and spa, surrounded by lush botanical gardens, peaceful courtyards, and inviting outdoor spaces. Enjoy the lounge and outdoor café/bar area while soaking up the quintessential Palm Springs atmosphere.

Located just six blocks from downtown Palm Springs, Casa de Monte Vista is close to some of the area’s best restaurants, bars, museums, shopping, family-friendly activities, and nightlife. We are also a favorite destination during Modernism Week, the Coachella Valley music festivals, and other popular local events.

In addition to Casita Verde, three other private casitas with bathrooms are available, or you can reserve the entire estate for a truly private Palm Springs experience.

Casa de Monte Vista is one of the original properties built in Palm Springs during the late 1920s. Nestled in the historic Old Las Palmas neighborhood, this charming Old Spanish estate captures the secluded, nostalgic atmosphere that has made Palm Springs famous.

Over the years, the property was frequented by some of Hollywood’s most legendary stars. It was reportedly owned by Robert Stack during the 1950s and 1960s and became a gathering place for members of the Rat Pack during the 1960s.

Today, Casa de Monte Vista combines the romance and history of old Palm Springs with the comfort and amenities of a modern getaway.
