It was a very quiet place to stay. The kitchen/living room lights flickered the whole time, which made us concerned about fire hazard. No instructions for using the TV. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, semi-secluded home. It was very clean, nicely appointed, with a comfortable bed and nice, expansive areas outside. The host initiated contact and was very responsive to questions. Despite being out a ways from town, we were able to get to everywhere we wanted in various parts of town with a 10-15 minute drive. Be prepared for lots of roundabouts on some of the routes, and curvy roads with great views on others. The only changes I would suggest are more hand towels in the bathroom (to match the other towels), a dish rack for drying the dishes (despite the signage, there isn’t a dishwasher), instructions on how to use the grill, and clearer information on how the TV system works. Which, by the way, was a very interesting choice of channels! I really enjoy Korean drama, so having multiple Korean drama channels to choose from was awesome!Overall it was an excellent stay and we would love to return on our next trip to Bend.

Having never been to Bend, Oregon, or anywhere in Oregon, travelling there was a first, but went for a family wedding. Being from the low desert of Arizona, traveling through a pine tree forest was also very new, however the instructions provided were clear and we found the BIG BEAR with only having to backtrack ONCE. The door code worked as described, and the interior was impeccably clean and stocked with everything we could ask for: clean towels and kitchen supplies, and laundry soap, et al. The grounds are gorgeous and the BEAR sculptures are fantastic, both in size and creativity!

Great space and location, quiet forest retreat and very private. The gardens and outside gathering areas are numerous, along with the giant bear sculpture and waterfall you can turn off and on. The inside has thoughtful touches, including dimmer switches on every light and a great electric fireplace with blower. I have stayed here twice!

Private and quiet house in the forest near Tumalo State Park. The house was spotless, and appointed with modern touches, including a laundry room, dimmer switches, private driveway and gorgeous backyard with numerous areas to sit outside, bbq, and a one of a kind gigantic bear sculpture with waterfall. Loved it and will go back.
