Willow Mill is a fabulous house and a great location as near to all the places we love to visit and a short drive to numerous wonderful beaches. The local pub is lovely but a little expensive and we found the gardener and cleaner very helpful at the property. We also rented Little Barn to accommodate us all however this property is not to the same standard as Willow Mill and the mezzanine bedroom is very difficult to use as no head height at all. Sorry to say but the property seems to be very damp. Dispute this we had a lovely stay and a great family holiday and very luckily with the weather.

We had such a special week staying in both properties with our extended family and newborn baby. The location is great for exploring North Cornwall with one of my favourite pubs- the St Kew Inn a stones throw away. The properties were spacious, homely and immaculately cleaned. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved our time in St Kew, renting both the mill and cottage for a large family holiday. The location is lovely, with almost no traffic on the road outside. The bedrooms are spaced across two floors, giving a bit of privacy for older guests from any screaming kids! Reasonably well stocked kitchen in terms of utensils. The garden is kept in quite a wild state, but there is still room for ball games and a patio for relaxing. Hopefully will visit again in the future.

We have had another wonderful week at Willow Mill. The house has everything we needed, including a great selection of books to peruse in wet weather. The garden is looking autumnal and beautiful, we enjoyed making apple pie with some of the apples, and the children loved exploring and playing in the stream. The house is well furnished and was lovely and cosy and warm. We enjoyed lighting the downstairs woodburner, and the dog enjoyed snoozing in front of it. Sleeping in the upstairs room, dozing off to the sound of the stream is the best destress therapy. We also had a delicious meal at the local pub. Thank you, we are already missing it, and will definitely be back.

The mill house and barn are indeed in an idyllic setting and if given a good deep clean and redecorated they would be wonderful. Little Barn is very little and the owners have tried to squeeze too many beds into it, resulting in very cramped accomodation. Willow Mill is a lovely old house though the decor and some of the furnishings are very tired. Though not dirty neither property was up to the standard of cleanliness I would expect from a holiday rental, especially not at such a high end price range. Specifics: We found hair in the bathroom sink, the cooker hood extractor was filthy and dripped dirty oil onto our food. The barbecue was still dirty I assume from previous guests. The bath and floor were stained in Willow Mill and the ground floor shower very dark and dingy with stained dirty grout in the tiling, it needed completely retiling really. Kitchen cupboards in Willow Mill felt sticky. The owners didn't seem concerned when informed about the lack of cleanliness, and took some persuading to send someone to fix a bedroom door that didn't shut in Little Barn.

We were a family party of 14 who have been frequent visitors to the North Cornish coast. We visited some old haunts Polzeath for surfing Rock for Daymer Bay walks and Lundy Bay for a special Birthday celebration picnic lunch. We greatly enjoyed relaxing in your wonderful garden with magnolia in full bloom being an added bonus and we hardly needed to leave it. Of course the close proximity of the Kew Inn was popular with the teenagers. We were blessed with dry and sunny spring weather for most of the week. We found both houses very comfortable and well equipped . If we had one point to raise it is the lack of separate bathroom facilities for the rooms on the upper floor in the Mill. The small bedroom was occupied by our teenage grandson and therefore we found early hours visits to the downstairs facilities a little testing! We greatly enjoyed or visit to your very special house and hope that we have the opportunity to come again.
