Stayed at Dunain Croy farm house with some friends for a 60th birthday getaway. The house is so welcoming, comfortable and in an idyllic setting. We loved the cosy evenings with the log burner lit and toasting marshmallows around the fire pit in the garden. The house is right on the canal and surrounded by fields and trees. We were visited by deer and pheasants and even by the Aurora on our last night. The house had plenty of space and all mod cons. You may want to have a car but even without one we managed to get everywhere we planned to by walking along the canal or a short taxi ride (incl a Loch Ness trip and visit to Urquhart Castle and a good ten mile yomp on the nearby forest tracks. Fabulous break.

It was such a treat to stay at this property. It is a beautiful and picturesque property. It borders the Ness walking trail, which was a lovely place to walk. The kitchen is stocked well, and very comfortable to cook in.

From start to finish, our stay in Inverness was absolutely wonderful. The location couldn’t have been better — close to everything, yet peaceful enough to truly relax. The home was spotless, and beautifully decorated, and had every comfort we could possibly need. The hosts were full of helpful local tips, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the cozy bedding to the little extras that made the experience feel special.Waking up to stunning views and enjoying the calm atmosphere was the perfect way to start each day. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return.Highly recommend to anyone visiting Inverness — you won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully located and perfectly maintained cottage. Very nice view to the Caledonia Canal. The wide garden is completely fenced, so that we could let our dog run unleashed. Everything is very clean and generous. Plenty of space for 8 persons. We would definitively come back, if we returned to the north of Scotland.

Every time we stay here we do not want to leave. The farmhouse is so nice, beautiful location, well kept, excellent amenities. It's a great location for exploring Inverness and the Highlands. Direct access to walk along the canal. Beautiful farm setting to relax and watch the deer, pheasants, rabbits, and more. We will be back again as soon as we are able!

We booked this property for its proximity to Loch Ness Country Hotel, where we were attending a wedding. Perfect in that respect. The property was wonderfully isolated, we made good use of the hot tub, the decor was stylish, and there was loads of space. Plenty seating, great to have 3 bathrooms. Our only issue was being unable to access terrestrial TV and having to use catch up services to watch daily news. Would definitely return.

Fabulous property with wonderful hosts. Our first stay was lovely so we came back again this year. And it was perfect again! Walk along the canal, watch wildlife from the back porch: deer, pheasants, rabbits. Soak in the hot tub, relax by the fireplace in the den... Only a few minutes drive to Inverness. It's a great location for exploring the Highlands. We will be back again.

A lovely stay in a very charming old farmhouse on the Caledonia Canal. Appreciated the provisions of apples, jam, coffee, ice and milk. We stayed here without a car but the taxi drivers were not deterred by its remote location which was only a 15 minute drive from the city center. For the six of us it was country bliss. We walked into Inverness which took over an hour along the canal and River Ness but well worth it. A unique and relaxing experience.

Location, location. If you don't mind winding down a farm road for almost a mile through woodland and field, opening and closing livestock gates along the way this is the place for you! The house is warm and cozy and superbly outfitted. The beds are very comfortable. The lawn and gardens are bountiful, with canal paths and woodland walks right outside your door. We made good use of the wood fired hot tub, the outdoor fire and even the barrel grill. Our contact with the property manager was easy and prompt and helpful, and the property manual is complete and well done. If you have kids do not miss Farm Ness, and Abriachan Forest playground and hike, and a walk down the canal path to catch a short boat tour on Loch Ness to see Urquart Castle. Just lovely, highly recommend!

Everyone should experience a stay at Dunaincroy. It is in an idyllic and beautiful location, with the canal as a bonus. The house is second to none - beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. There are so many tourist attractions within a small radius, making Dunaincroy the perfect place for an unforgettable holiday.
