Can not say enough wonderful things about this place. The location is of course fantastic. We were able to see elk just up the road both days we were there, but the property is also really fantastic. We really enjoyed waking up and watching the cows across the street from our window or on the porch while drinking coffee. And maybe best of all, being greeted by and watching the friendly horses next door. The house is beautiful, clean, cozy and well appointed. From the fully stocked kitchen including spices, appliances, coffee bar, etc to games and toys for your kids and a hot tub. Anything you could want or need was available. Had a couple questions before check in and the host was very quick to respond. Would definitely stay again and again!

Family friendly and close to all the activities we wanted to visit. I highly recommend this house if you need a place to take your family, it's a perfect home away from home.

Please stay here! You will not regret your choice. We have stayed here before and couldn’t wait to return. It would comfortably sleep 7 people but my husband and I love it so much we stay here and never go upstairs. It is so comfortable and even the smallest of needs are met. It is the perfect location for views the elk in the fall. Each day we sat in the living room and watch one grazing in the pasture across the road. Internet is great at the house but don’t expect AT&T service when you drive around. I cannot comment on the hot tub, we chose not use it. The host is great and yes, we will be returning!

This is the best location to see the elk. The property was clean, beautifully updated, and Mattie is a great host. Very detailed oriented and we had fresh flowers, coffee, fully stocked kitchen, fire pit, hot tub, bbq grill. Great stay!

I felt like I was home! The attention to detail provided here was beyond superb. The town was so far away, so the kitchen was well stocked with coffees, teas, and much more. A focal point for our family when traveling is a well-appointed kitchen, and this kitchen definitely checked that box. From high-end appliances all the way down to an air fryer, the numerous pots, pans, and spices made our cooking experience exceptional. The house was so cozy and clean with comfortable spaces that sometimes we just hung out and sat on the front porch watching the elk and turkey graze across the street. The house is centrally located for access to the Buffalo River and hiking trails in the river valley. The host was excellent, and I will definitely stay here again on trips to the Ponca area!!!

We've stayed at many different places around Ponca - this has been the best. I could live in this home and be happy the rest of my life. Three private bedrooms, two with sitting areas , two lovely, spacious bathrooms. We took a shower with a storm brewing in the skylight above. We had a pastry chef with us and we all like to cook - the kitchen was so well laid out and large, we made some spectacular meals. From the long massive wood dining table we watched the sunrise and the horses wandering across the hill. They came up to the fence where we could stroke their necks and give them a kiss on the forehead. The front porch, well just look at the pictures. We loved being able to go up and down the road, a mile either direction, and find the Elk herd. So many things, all a hop skip and jump away (2 minutes - 15 minutes). Lost Valley Trail (among the many trails), Steel Creek Campground with its' massive cliffs where the creek (spring fed) and the Buffalo River converge (we waded into the water where they converge), Twin Falls (actually three) on the road to Camp Orr (they were all flowing), historical homesites from the 1800's ..... The town of Ponca, a mile or so up the road, has two small stores. We rented canoes and went on a four hour float then came back and got ice cream. Now we are back home. (insert sad emoji here)

We felt right at home, with every little comfort and need thought of and provided for. From the most comfortable blankets to cozy up with, to nice toiletries and coffee provided, our host took great care of us and was quick to respond to messages. The hot tub was so nice to come home to after a day of hiking. The location was perfectly situated between all of the must-see Ozark & Buffalo River areas. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was very clean, tidy, and beautiful. We hope to stay here again during the summer and fall seasons.

This house is beautiful inside and out and perfect location for easy viewing of elk. We had everything we needed. We didn't get to enjoy the hot tub as we weren't aware there was one but next time we certainly will. We enjoyed a nice fire on the patio both nights and made s'mores. We look forward to staying again!!!

We loved our time at the farmhouse! It was very clean, had a well stocked kitchen and the owner literally thought of everything! Location could not have been better! The Boxley elk were in the field, across the road almost the whole weekend. We took photographs from the front porch! The owner went above and beyond! We plan on staying there again!

This property is in the exact location one needs to be for elk watching. I cannot express enough, the cleanliness of the home. We loved the quaintness yet very luxurious feeling of the home. The kitchen is fully stocked with absolutely anything you need to prepare a meal. Fresh flowers greeted us upstairs & downstairs an extra special touch. Even though it was just my husband and myself due to a change of plans, we only went upstairs one time. I would return and stay there for the cleanliness and location. We love the fact that we were able to bring our little dog also.

This VRBO was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. The fenced in backyard was a great touch for our dog to get out and run around, and we loved the rocking chairs on the front porch. The house was a 4 minute drive to the Buffalo River, so you know we went swimming every day of our trip
