Stayed Oct 23, 2025Stayed here to visit our son at Miami University (35 min drive to campus). The setting is beautiful and the yellow farmhouse sits back from the road and from the other rental property, so we had total privacy. Thoughtful set up outside with patio and fire pit. Walk to the river was a bonus. I love to bird watch, and tallied 30 species on day one. Metamora is a cute town nearby. Recommend The Blue Umbrella for breakfast. Lots of hiking around Brookville Lake. House very comfortable and well laid out. Kitchen had everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Stayed Oct 3, 2025We had an absolutely perfect stay at the Yellow House. The property was a true representation of the photos online, immaculate and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. We were really surprised and impressed with the amenities in the kitchen. Also the complimentary Wi-fi, toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. The beds were very comfortable. The location offered the best of both worlds: a peaceful, rural setting within a five-minute drive of town and a short walk to the Whitewater River. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the lighted patio in the evenings, which was both serene and picturesque. Mark, the host, was incredibly responsive, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. We can't recommend this home highly enough for anyone visiting the Brookville and Metamora, Indiana area. It was one of the best rental experiences we've had! If you're looking for a place to stay near Brookville, the Yellow House will not dissapoint you.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025Everything was nice and clean. The house had a lot of stuff we needed to fix food. It was helpful to have all this kitchen equipment so we could fix our food. The only little thing that could have helped was if we had more trash bags. Other than that we were very pleased! Very nice house to stay in!
