This was peaceful and beautiful. The kids played outside or in the gameroom in the basement. There was plenty of room around the table. It was comfortable and everything we needed. We were easily able to visit family in Georgetown and do side trips to local children’s activities, Mammoth Cave, and the Ark Encounter. The kids enjoyed canoeing for the first time and playing croquet and cornhole. We loved seeing all the personal touches of the family and seeing the story of the property.

Communication with the owner was great, so was everything on the property. I feel everything was as advertized and would stay here again. We felt at home, well, more like visiting grandparents. Very homey feel. Hopefully anyone that books this place appreciates the history and time invested in building it.

Furthermore, the propertiy has amazing views and the horses were stunning! Would highly recommend! Thanks for accommodating our three generations of family into your beautiful home!

Our stay at the Scenic Stillwater Retreat was peaceful! The property is strategically in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for reflection. There was enough room for our family of seven. The kids enjoyed themselves- plenty of games and toys to play with. The kitchen was beautiful and equipped with everything my wife needed. David was helpful at answering my questions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would comeback God willing when it’s warmer.

The place was great for what was needed — I was traveling back to Central Kentucky to spend Thanksgiving with family. Was able to use the kitchen for cooking full meal and have room to visit with family — the grounds were great and gave ample space to quietly reflect in the middle of horse country.

We were 3 couples staying for a weekend trip to Keeneland and this place checked all the boxes! Plenty of room, and the outdoor ambience was perfect. We visired the horses, enjoyed time under the gazebo by the lake and spent hours by the bonfire under the stars! It was a wonderful trip and we will likely return!

This property elevated our week in Lexington from great to amazing. Beautiful horse farm experience in a very tranquil location. Home was well equipped for a big family, and communication was excellent throughout! Don’t hesitate to stay here-you’ll be taken care of and you’ll love all the green space. Would love to come back:)

We always try to stay in horse country Paris when we come back to Ky. Luckily we found this retreat when our normal property was booked. The house was exactly as advertised and felt like we were walking into someones daily estasblisment. The house was furnished with everything we needed. My only regret was we didnt stay longer.
