This 2-bedroom, 2 bath condo offers a perfect blend of modern luxury and style coupled with the elegant charm of a Historic Kentucky home. The House on Main was originally built in 1872 by a Kentucky Hemp Merchant and has been restored to its former glory and every detail of this home has been thought out to provide a truly unique and perfect experience. Located on the end of Main Street, you will be surrounded by historic homes and Georgetown College. Enjoy a stroll to Georgetown College, Downtown to enjoy our favorite local restaurants or shop the cutest boutiques or short scenic drive to Lexington to see the horses or Frankfort to enjoy some bourbon!

THE SPACE
The Man O’War is your perfect luxury modern getaway to explore all that Kentucky has to offer. Open spacious living room with 12-foot ceilings with original molding, fully stocked kitchen, Lux king memory foam mattresses with toppers, Smart TV along with high-speed internet, and a fully fenced in backyard firepit area and a picture-perfect mural!

MAIN AREA:
Guests will be greeted by a grand two-story staircase, 12-foot ceilings, and beautiful 150-year-old hardwood heart pine floors! The living room features plenty of comfortable seating for guests and a large Smart TV.

KITCHEN:
Fully stocked kitchen, Keurig coffee maker, dinnerware and silverware, toaster, and much more. We are also within walking distance to some of our favorite local places to eat! If you are looking for LOCAL Dining options Rodneys on Broadway, Favas, Galvins, and Local Feed are just a few of our favorites. And for desserts try Rebeccas, Pretty Girl Sweets, and Chocomania!

BEDROOMS:
2 bedrooms with king size beds and memory foam mattresses with lux toppers, luggage rack, full length mirror, and fans. Plenty of space for everyone to get a great night’s rest! If 2 beds are not enough, we have an air mattress as well as a pack & play for the little ones.

OUTSIDE:
-Large patio firepit area with seating (propane provided)
-Covered front porch with seating
-Privacy fence around the back yard for privacy
-Large lighted off-street parking lot on site
-Charcoal BBQ grill located on the mural patio (charcoal not provided)

LAUNDRY:
Washer and dryer in the unit (detergent provided)
Guests can easily walk to Downtown Georgetown, however the best way to experience Kentucky is with your personal vehicle.

I’ve stayed at this property before, and had an excellent experience. I will note, first time traveling there with a toddler. Definitely not kid-friendly (I note that is not the owners fault) but something I will take into consideration next time. Marked down for cleanliness - and I am messaging the owner specifics. Overall, great experience.

Travelled to celebrate my 50th birthday. Took in the Bourbon Trail and a Kentucky Football Game. Man O'War provided the perfect respite for recovery from all our adventures.

We had a wonderful stay in the lovely Man O’War apartment in the beautiful historic House on Main. It’s a convenient location very close to the downtown area with shopping and restaurants. Also very near Georgetown campus. Apartment was as depicted by the photos, with 2 large bedrooms, each with king bed, and 2 en-suite bathrooms. Small kitchen with full size stove and frig as well as coffee bar and adequately supplied with cookware. As with many older homes, the heating is not very even throughout the apartment, with bedrooms much warmer than the living area; however the charm of this historic home outweighs that mild distractor. They have supplied a lovely soft blanket for the couch and ceiling fans in the bedroom areas. We enjoyed our stay in Georgetown and would definitely return to the Man O’War apartment!
