Lovely, antique home with an early Wolf stove that is extraordinary. It is well equipped, with a good bed and linens. We so enjoyed our return to Connecticut for Christmas and were welcomed with a gentle snow. While freezing outside, it was warm and cozy inside. If you visit, take in the Bluebird Inn up the road for breakfast. This is very much the iconic Connecticut home. Enjoy!

This home is extremely old with nothing updated. There was a musty smell, the furniture was old and ratty, only one small tv in the den and the staircase banister was hanging off the hinges. The only nice part of this house is the grounds.

Erle is a wonderful host and the property manager was very responsive. We enjoyed being back in our old neighborhood and we liked the access to town and the main roadways. We enjoyed the historical nature of the home and the beautiful grounds.

This old historical farmhouse was a perfect winter holiday experience for our family! The town of Westport was festive with great shops and restaurants in town center., being only a few miles out was the best country small town feel with horses and great hiking trails .

Peaceful home set on a beautiful tree lined property that boarders along a rushing stream. This is the best time of the year to enjoy this home with the fall foliage. We enjoyed the extensive book collection, art work, cozy kitchen, and great views of the property seen from every room. Property Manager was quick to respond to our needs. Enjoyed Silverman's farm and Norwalk Maritime Museum which is nearby. Would highly recommend the Perry House for a unique experience and relaxing stay.

Very comfortable house in a simply gorgeous area of Connecticut. Huge trees and rushing streams at every turn. I loved cooking in this kitchen with its vintage Wolf stove. It's the best of both worlds here, with the pastoral scenery all around and close proximity to NYC. There are great groceries and take-out in nearby Fairfield, especially at Nordic Fish if you want high quality, fresh seafood to cook. Really appreciated, too, the caretaker who walked us through the house and patiently explained how everything worked -- very pleasant fellow. We were here for 9 nights and wished it had been for more. Drove into Manhattan twice, surprisingly easy and quick (1 hr 15-30 min) if you go at the right time. We also enjoyed hiking on nearby trails and just hanging out in the charming house, relaxing on the porch.

We New Yorkers wanted to spend the summer in a relaxing, walkable environment, far from the city after enduring the spring of COVID lockdown. This farmhouse was a most welcome respite. Erle and her manager Sandy were wonderful. The farmhouse is special; it has an interesting history and comes with every amenity needed for long or short stays. We took long country walks, took beautiful photos of dragonflies and flowers, and made extravagant meals in the well appointed kitchen. I imagine all seasons are beautiful there and the babbling Aspetuck River adds to the relaxing, restorative environment. Thank you Erle and Sandy for a wonderful summer.

I had a great summer in the Perry House. Beautiful location and great area!! In addition, the property manager was readily available (although I only had one question) and the landlord couldn't have been nicer. They both remained in touch just to be sure my stay was going well. Thanks again!!

The owner is super nice & will respond immediately to any concerns or needs. The home is well appointed making you feel right at home. There’s a sweet little breakfast/lunch place a mile down the wooded road along a Country Club golf course which we enjoy walking to. A quaint country setting, but within a few miles you’ll find gas, garage, post office, coffee shop, country store. Parks with nature trails are all around you! We frequented the charming town of Westport less than 15 min. away with a world class theatre, lots of nice shops, restaurants & specialty grocery stores. There we would access the highway as well as the train station to New York City. It’s a 25 min. drive to the Norwalk Maritime Museum & the hip Sono area just for starters! We had a wonderful time at the Perry House for the second time & recommend it highly.
