Communication with Ines from the start was fantastic, she was on hand to answer any questions and sent over lots of suggestions of what to do in the area. The property was something special, there was a space for everyone, either as a group or areas where you get peace and quiet. Brilliant outdoor space, where you could find a sunny or shady spot, pool amazing. House was really well equipped from towels/toiletries and kitchen equipment. Couldn’t fault a thing. Location was the icing on the cake, walking distance to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. All in all a 5 star holiday.

Mas Bleu is a wonderful and extraordinary place. We were there with friends and family during a heatwave for a week this summer so the 20m pool was a Godsend. How fantastic to be able to swim in a meaningful way without reaching the end if the pool after 3 or 4 strokes! Unfortunately, the extreme heat meant we were unable to take advantage of everything the house and area had to offer (sadly, the bicycles remained in the bike rack) but the house lends itself to social gatherings so well that we had great fun hanging out, cooking., eating and drinking. The a/c wasn’t working in the play room for a few days but Ines, who was incredibly responsive, did her utmost to resolve the issue as soon as possible. She was a great host. One day we’ll be back - perhaps when it’s a bit cooler… Highly recommended!

Beautiful place in the middle of the fabulous village of Sommières with nearby amenities, all at walking distance. It would have been absolutely perfect had one of the bedrooms that my partner and I were so looking forward to, the Garden room, been available. Sadly it was not and we were only told on arrival. Aside from that, if you are looking for a long weekend or a week escape with adults and 'adullt kids', the space is incredible and beautifully maintained 'avec beaucoup de goût'! Highly recommend.

From my initial contact with the owner until 16 days later when we departed, it was a great experience. The pictures can’t capture the beauty, size and character of this property. I have travelled the world using. VRBO and this property and support team are world class by every measure. We will be back!!

Our host Ines could not have been more helpful, giving us information on local services, activities etc. She was around if we needed but equally discreet. The house itself is fantastic, so spacious, it was ideal for our party of 14, more than enough room to spend long hours around the pool without getting in each other's way! Although located right on the edge of the town centre, it felt very private & of course, such a location was very convenient for local amenities. However, although we didn't get the opportunity, you can also travel further afield to the likes of Montpelier. Highly recommended, we also loved the BBQ! Thank you Ines.

We were 8 adults and 8 children in Mas Bleu for two weeks. The weather was fantastic so we hardly had to go out as there was so much to do around the house, pool, garden and town. We did go to the beach at Le Grau du Roi and it was easy to get to. We also kayaked, cycled and chased bulls around Villeveille. Ines Ligron is a very accommodating host and even supplied us with a Karaoke kit for the games room. Restaurants in Sommieres are a bit dull but that did not matter with 8 kids as the kitchen and barbecue at Cas Bleu was perfectly adequate.

Mas Bleu Address: 3 Rue du Pavillon, 30250 Sommieres Location Based in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon, Sommieres/Mas Bleu is a great central location for those who really want to explore and enjoy southern France. There are so many fantastic medieval villages nearby that probably one visit to Mas Blue will not be enough to see all of the key villages. The entire area is so enchanting one (like us) will want to come back again immediately. Provence is an area overflowing with classical and modern art, food, history, and natural beauty. The small town of Sommier where Mas Blue is located is still a relatively undiscovered gem in a beautiful compact village with great food choices. A small idyllic river, Vidourle River, floats by the town and makes for great walks before and after dinner. Summer time is particularly fun with the local bull fights and Wednesday evening market. Small little stores that sell local goods, and a nice olive oil store makes for great gifts. Pont du Gard which is an easy 45 minute drive from Mas Bleu was particularly exciting for Roman history buffs and those who have seen Pont du Gard in various movies including the recent Diane Lane movie, Paris Can Wait. Pont du Gard was so wonderful, we would have loved to have spent the whole day rafting along the river. Other great choices to visit medieval towns include’ Arles, Nimes, Les Baux de-Provence, Avignon, Aigue Mortes, Uzes, and St. Remy de Provence. Mas Bleu - The House Mas Bleu is like staying in your own art gallery for a hotel. Sophisticated and elegant art work is everywhere. The eclectic pieces are collected from all over the world and simply exploring the house is one of the best reasons to stay at Mas Bleu. It is a great adventure simply walking around the inside of the vast house and taking long peaks at the interesting photos, furniture, sculptures, and art works which are scattered outside in the pool garden. Mas Bleu is like your own personal small boutique hotel. Good size sleeping over 20 people comfortably. The 20 meter pool is a great way to start the morning with a refreshing workout. There are plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, sitting areas, and all the modern day comforts starting from air conditioning, wifi, and cable. Plenty of parking for 6 cars. Everyone gets their privacy but the setting with the beautifully designed pool area and professional kitchen allows for everyone to naturally gather in a very informal and relaxed setting.

Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for a unforgettable Christmas 2016 at ur amazing chateau, Mas Bleu!! We arrived at 4pm Dec 22nd and as soon as we stepped foot on your property the positive mana (energy) and sense of Aloha (welcome, hospitality, kindness) was fealt by all and have created lasting memories for all that were able to enjoy this once in a lifetime family gathering. From the spacious living room with its long comfortable couches and pillows separated by a long spacious large coffee table. We lounged here for hours talking story and catching up on times past. The decor and lighting in each room set the perfect tone for hours, day after day of enjoyment and comfort during the crisp and chilly winter days and night. We would slowly saunter into the dinning room, large enough for 12 comfortably, for dinner each night. Dinners took on a life of their own as we enjoyed the food, wine, and company of all that were there. Dinners flowed right into dancing as this space around the grand dining table was easily spacious enough to allow all of us to dance like no one was watching. We prepared one fabulous dinner upon another in a custom professional kitchen right off the dinning room that along with the dinning room looked out to the large garden, deck, and pool. The kitchen was stocked complete with all possible equipment needed to prepare an eight course holiday feast. Once ur feet and legs were exhausted from dancing we could retire to our large completely custom individually decorated bedroom and bathroom to slip into a hot bath or just crawl into our warm plush perfect bed. Even though Chateau Mas Bleu dates back hundreds of years you have so carefully remodeled it to insure that the walls, floors, and ceilings maintained the original materials everywhere possible. The stairways, hallways, siderooms, and bedrooms became a travel back in time and a complete adventure each evening when we retired back to our nights rest! We can't wait to experience a summer holiday back at ur amazing home, Chateau Mas Bleu!!! Opening up the kitchen glass doors completely to the wood deck, pool, and gardens would make for endless summer days. One fabulous lunch would flow right into a relaxing dinner. From preparation to eating to lounging and repeat. That's my dream of the ultimate relaxing holiday! See u this summer, Aloha Nui Loa The Akana's and Huynh's Christmas 2016

As a large family group of 8 adults and 5 children, we had a wonderful two weeks holiday at Mas Bleu. It is a beautiful old building that has been very stylishly renovated and provides spacious, cool rooms to relax and play in. The house and kitchen are extremely well equipped with everything that you could want during your holiday, and Ines the owner was lovely and helpful. Sommieres is a lovely medieval town with lots going on and in only two minutes walk from Mas Bleu, you are in the heart of the town, with all the amenities at hand. Overall we loved it, spent many hours enjoying the stunning garden and pool, and would highly recommend Mas Bleu as a place to stay.

It's hard to find words adequate to describe how lovely this place is! The traditional exterior architecture blended with a brilliant contemporary interior makes this house one-of-a-kind and a true gem! Located within walking distance of the quaint central market of the village of Sommières one couldn't ask for a more quintessential Southern French experience. Very spacious and unique bedroom designs are an added bonus. And the 20 meter pool and comfortable lounge chairs in a private compound around the house complement the amenities in such a perfect way. I would definitely go back and couldn't imagine a better home away from home in Southern France! Totally worth the money!
