Stayed Aug 10, 2025This is a fantastic, huge farmhouse in a very peaceful area surrounded by beautiful countryside. The swimming pool is huge and it was amazing to swim and spend lazy days around. Check in and communication throughout our stay was excellent. The farmhouse and pool were spotlessly clean, and the kitchen and barbecue area allowed us to cook and eat easily.It's a 5-minute drive up to the small town of Penna San Giovanni which has everything you need - a restaurant, bar, supermarket etc. It's a beautiful village; everyone was incredibly friendly and keen to help. It's an amazing place to stay and unwind, waking up to the birds singing in the morning. I can definitely, highly recommend staying here.10/10. Thank you

Stayed Apr 5, 2024This is an amazing property in a peaceful location surrounded by stunning countryside. Our check in and communication throughout our stay was excellent. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook and eat easily without having to go out anywhere. Be advised that because of the stunning and remote location, a car is essential. Loved it!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Casa Matilda was everything we had hoped for and more. It's location, size, character and charm. A real family friendly property set in a wonderful valley just a stones throw away from Penna San Giovanni, which dons some lovely restaurants and shops as well as fantastic views. My family and I absolutely loved staying here for our week in August. The spaciousness of the place, the amazing climate and not to forget a swimming pool to die for. Already re-booked for 2016 as my children often talk about their fond memories of their stay at Casa Matilda.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This year was our second stay at Casa Matilda. The house itself is fantastic, lots and lots of space and very well maintained. The swimming pool is huge which is fantastic as this is where we were spending most of our time. It's a 5 minute drive up the hill to the small town of Penna San Giovanni. Here you'll find everything you need; restaurant, bakery, bar, supermarket etc. It's a beautiful village, also incredibly friendly and welcoming. The surrounding area is simply stunning. We're looking forward to returning to Casa Matilda soon. It's an amazing place to stay and relax.
