Sarah is a lovely host. We had a hiccup on the day of our arrival (before our arrival) with a potential issue that would have compromised our stay. Sarah contacted us, was up front with the potential issue, had already contacted a contractor, and had already looked to see if alternative accommodation was available to us. She even offered to have us wait in the house to see if the issue could be fixed. Ultimately, the issue was a non-issue and we were able to stay in the house! She allowed us an early check in. The house itself is so quaint and is pretty much exactly as described. It has a lovely historical charm (though that does mean some things that go along with an older house, such as short showers). We had everything we needed and there were some lovely add-ins such as the face masks in the main bathroom! The location of the house is excellent. It's close to downtown and close to all of the destinations we visited. I wish the weather was warmer so that we could enjoy the beautiful porch. We appreciate Sarah's excellent communication and kindness and we enjoyed a restful getaway at the Old Homestead!

This is a beautiful property located in a lovely quiet area. I mostly enjoyed my stay while in the property. However, the listing does not indicate the fact that two of the three bedrooms are only connected to the hallway by one door. This may be awkward for some guest configurations as the person or people staying in the inner bedroom will have to cross through the other bedroom to access the landing and bathroom in the middle of the night. This was not a problem for us during our stay but would’ve best been indicated in the listing.Unfortunately, the check-out expectations are not clear and the amount of cleaning expected that are not in writing upon booking seem excessive when paying a cleaning fee plus a pet fee which is listed by VRBO as additional cleaning for pet issues.

This was our second stay at the Old Homestead. We love its country feel and the very well equipped kitchen. Sarah seems to have thought of everything!

We really enjoyed it. It was a nice place to relax after being out most of the week for the IBO World Championship.

We really enjoyed our stay at Linden Hall Farm. The house has so much character and history. It was clean and comfortable and we had all that we needed. Very close to the town of Berkeley Springs. We would come stay again for sure!

A lovely historic farm home with plenty of charm. It is just the right amount of close and far away from the town, so it is great for for wondering deeply about the stars in sky. We witnessed a lovely show choregraphed by the June fireflies. Absolutely lovely.

We absolutely loved the house and all it's uniqueness. I'm a sucker for an older home, and this was just a delight. Very comfortable space, well kept despite it's old age, has such a welcoming and warm personality, enjoyed the living spaces, comfortable bedrooms, large outdoor spaces, beautiful deck to enjoy the spring/summer air, and just overall ease of use for the home. My friends and I had an amazing time and we hope to be back soon.

We chose this cabin because it looked like a unique experience, and it was. It was unusually cold during our stay but we were cozy and toasty inside. The location is convenient to the Berkeley Springs warm springs spa amenities, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The rest of our pleasant weekend was spent in the cabin, cooking up meals in the well equipped kitchen and catching up with old friends by the wood stove. The property is scenic and peaceful. I walked my dog down the gravel driveway and across the road into an adjacent neighborhood, and people waved and seemed friendly. The stargazing was also fantastic. There was WiFi and good cell phone coverage so you don't have to disconnect from the world, though you can and probably should.

We were lucky enough to call this our home for several weeks in June and July. It was the perfect place for our family to spend some time together during a transition. The property is full of history and comfort and literally has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sarah was extremely responsive and more than accommodating. If we are ever back this way we would love to stay again!

We've visited Berkeley Springs more times than we can remember, and usually stay in remote cabins in the woods. This property offers the same feel, but with the convenience of being only five minutes from Downtown. It is full of historic charm, vintage furnishings, and enough quirkiness to maintain your curiosity during your stay. The main living space and bedrooms are spacious and bright. The mattresses are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, including condiments and spices. There is a large selection of fine teas, as well as a coffee grinder, beans, Keurig and an automatic drip coffee maker. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch, the back deck, and around the fire ring at dusk. As bird watchers we found the abundance of birds on the property to be great fun.

The farmhouse was absolutely adorable! It was the perfect size for my family and my brother’s. We had 4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs and we had plenty of room to spread out but it still felt cozy. We played several rousing games of croquet and spent lots of time enjoying the large front porch. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our time here! The house was very unique, and included everything advertised. The location of the property was beautiful and so peaceful. My only suggestion is leaving wifi information in the home, and the check out process did include more housekeeping than I would expect, when a cleaning fee is included. We do plan to return! Thank you!
