Hillandale Farmhouse circa 1774 - 6 bedrooms, sleeps 12, newly renovated

We had a great stay at Hillandale! It was a perfect spot for gathering family in town for our son’s wedding. It was clean, comfortable and very well stocked. There were lovely extras like snack baskets and fresh flowers in every room and extra toiletries in the bathrooms. A highlight was the beautiful outdoor space and setting. The house is an old farmhouse that has been added on to over the years which makes for long windy hallways upstairs and lots of hidden staircases. We loved it. Do note that you do have to walk through some bedrooms to get to other bedrooms and the sleeping porch which was fine for us but could impact privacy if that is important. Robert was super accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay there again!

Great host. Property is beautiful. Screens had holes and let in unwanted bugs. Historic and unique.

We stayed two nights at this wonderful home as our daughter was getting married nearby. The house had so much charm, history and space to spread out. The setting on the property was very pretty and relaxing. I cannot say enough about the host, Robert. He was extremely responsive, helpful and great to work with. We loved our stay.

Hilldale Farmhouse has a lot of history and beauty. We had a family wedding with folks traveling from Fl. we all wanted to stay in one place. It was perfect. What I did not realize was the porch with the two twin beds was only screened in. Since this was the case we had a couple folks sleeping on couches. Other than that it was wonderful.

I was in town for a women's leadership conference and stayed in this VRBO with several others who were attending. We all loved the property and enjoyed sitting outside one evening on the large patio with lights. The check in process was extremely easy and the owner/manager was always very responsive. We had no issues during our stay. I also took a ton of photos and shared them on my social. We also had a complimentary bottle of wine in the refrigerator which was a nice surprise for our group.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely and comfortable farmhouse for a family wedding in the area. The house was spectacularly clean and well appointed. The back patio was huge and beautiful. There was plenty of parking for our family members and there were fun yard games available, though we didn’t have time to use them. Communication with the owners was spot on. We stayed there during a brutally hot weather weekend and were perfectly comfortable throughout the home due to the individual AC units in every room. I would definitely stay there again.

This property is amazing, and in many ways better than expected. Everything you need to have a comfortable stay is there. The house is charming and has some impressive updating to give you modern amenities with a farmhouse vibe. While we had enough beds for everyone without needing the sleeping porch, a few people opted to stay out there to enjoy the sounds of nature. Truly a great place to stay - many in our group said they would stay again!
