Everything as usual was very good. But one thing could be improved--the driveway. Over the years it has become more rocky and difficult to navigate.

My family and I have been staying here for the last few years for our annual Notre Dame football weekend. It’s in a really nice area and not a far drive from ND campus. It has lots of room and is much nicer than staying in a hotel.

My family (me, two daughters, son-in-law, two grandchildren) visited my sisters (in Bremen, thirteen minutes) for the long holiday weekend. We found the Farmhouse to be beautiful and were very happy with it. It was plenty big enough for all of us and very comfortable. My granddaughter loved the big tree swing, and my son-in-law loved the bit of history from the welcome book. It was a bit rustic, but as a farmhouse I expected that. It's been a well-loved home, and it shows. A lot of the original fixtures are still in place along with the updated ones. The setting is quite peaceful and large enough to run off energy! I would suggest bringing drinking water as is mentioned in the description, and we struggled a bit at first with the Apple TV as we are just not familiar with it. We will definitely check the availability of The Farmhouse for our future trips!

If you appreciate rustic charm and good design, want lots of space and everything you could need for an extended stay, this is a beautiful and comfortable property. If you’re not from the country and are expecting newly renovated spaces and modern marble finishes at the Hilton, this probably isn’t for you as it has a lot of rustic charm and antique fixtures and finishes. Definitely a lot of charm and timeless beauty and it was well kept and very clean. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host/property manager who was clearly committed to us having a great stay and we loved this place and enjoyed all the space and amenities.

We loved the bones of the house and for the price, we were quite satisfied. Plenty of space, nice layout, beautiful staircase and foyer. Nice fireplace in the living room. Excellent kitchen, nice dining room. The house was, in it's time, a real beauty and the setting is very peaceful...but it's time for some TLC on the property in general...carpets, doors, woodwork all need re-freshing and or reworking. Bathrooms are clean but in the original 1950's condition. A water softener/filtering system is badly needed, it is undrinkable. This was clearly stated in the listing so it was not a suprise and we were happy to find stocked waters and a bag of commercial ice in the freezer,....we are used to well water, it isn't anything new to us.... but this is on a whole other level.

This is the second year in a row our family stayed at this house for a Notre Dame football weekend. There’s lots of room, it’s clean and not far from Notre Dame campus. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is such a nice place to bring a family. Lots of room and a big yard for kids. Close to nearby towns for some sight-seeing. The big kitchen is perfect for cooking family meals.

My family and I loved staying at this rental for our Notre Dame football weekend. The place was clean and very spacious with room for my grandsons to run around. It was so much nicer than being in a hotel room. We would definitely stay here again.
