Stayed Jun 10, 2025What a wonderful escape after spending a few days in Porto. The road to this remote location is an adventure, if you are up for it! Once you arrive, the view is breathtaking and the authentic countryside quinta experience begins. We enjoyed all the outdoor spaces and gardens, and moved up to the pool area to lengthen sunset watching. The property is resort-like in its details and each day my appreciation for all these features grew. The overall experience was restorative. The rental is clean and comfortable. The charming kitchen is small but had all essentials although we didn't cook much! The bathroom is updated and spacious. The bedroom is in the loft and there was great storage for our luggage. Wifi worked flawlessly. This is a great location to explore the Douro region. We did daily road trips to towns like Pinhao, Peso da Regua, and Lamego. Getting lost in the vineyards was a wonderful experience. And don't forget tastings at other quintas: port, wine and olive oil.Thank you to Francesco for hosting and spoiling us. I won't give away all the details, but we loved the amazing local bread from Favaios every morning! (Visit the Bread and Wine Museum there to better appreciate these local delicacies.) His suggestions for dining and things to do were appreciated and helpful. His love for this quinta is now shared. This is a special place!

Stayed Jun 2, 2024We loved staying here. It was very clean and had incredible views. Our host was attentive and very helpful with places to eat and things to do. We enjoyed coming back from touring to drink some wine in our private pool overlooking the vineyards across the valley. The privacy was great with places to sit outdoors in the shade, in the sun, or by the pool. This was one of our all time favorite places we have stayed. We definitely recommend it.

Stayed May 10, 2024I have extensively travelled globally and without a doubt the region and property have a beauty and untouched authentic charm that is unrivalled. The location is remote, but 10 mins for town, peaceful, safe and untouched. Sitting in a beautiful old vineyard amongst a view which is spectacular. You have all you need in a very very clean rustic home, the bed is comfortable the shower is awesome and powerful, very important items for me (I find nothing worse than a lumpy bed and weak cold dirty shower)… The hosts are very warm and welcoming and just as charming as the location. We feel very lucky and fortunate that the host is sharing this place as a rental, it is unique and stunning. Thank you and we will visit again.. this is a special special place.

Stayed Oct 24, 2023Our hosts could not have been any more gracious. Francisco speaks excellent English and went out of his way to make us feel at home and to offer guidance as to where we should visit while there and after leaving. This place is off the beaten path and you will need a car to get there, but we loved it and hope to go back someday. Breakfasts while sitting on the covered veranda overlooking the valley were out of this world.

Stayed Jun 25, 2022We truly enjoyed our short stay at this small family-run Quinta. The owners (and their comedic dogs) are so welcoming. The views from there are stunning and it is a wonderful place to unwind. The accommodations suited us well, albeit the kitchen is very tight. Loads of places to sit outdoors under the vines or by the pool. No WIFI but 4G works well - a good incentive to disconnect and enjoy what the lovely Douro has to offer. Highly recommend!

Stayed May 2, 2022We had a very happy four nights here and loved it! The cottage itself was very well appointed with lots of lovely outdoor spots to sit and enjoy the amazing views. Francisco and Christina were lovely hosts who gave us great recommendations. They delivered fresh bread every morning and were there if we needed them but otherwise left us to do our thing. This is such a beautiful part of the world and it was a great privilege to stay here.
