We are a farmstay with barnyard animals located on acres of farmland.
We are 3 minutes off Exit 299 on I-65 halfway between Huntsville and Birmingham. We are 7 minutes from Smith Lake Park and have plenty of parking for multiple boats and ATV's. We are 10 minutes to Stony Lonesome ATV park and offer free boat launching at Hames Marina. We are close to the Shrine in Hanceville and 15 minutes from Ave Maria Grotto and Saint Bernard Preparatory School. We are close to the Rock the South conc

Stayed Jan 16, 2026Had a very nice stay at the small farm. Quiet and peaceful. Very clean .Loved all the animals especially the mini goat. Fresh eggs were great for breakfast. I highly recommend a stay.

Stayed Nov 7, 2025Host very welcoming and the house is homey. The wecoming committee is fabulous..chickens cats and especially the baby goat. My granddaughters loved feeding and petting animals and the little dark cat tolerated being carried as one of my girls just really loved holding her. We will stay here afain whenever we visit the area.

Stayed Oct 14, 2025My family and I really enjoyed staying at this home for a quick getaway. The house was so clean and comfortable. We loved feeding the animals and we all fell in love with the baby goat and kitten. The beds were so comfy and we had all the kitchen supplies needed to cook up a scrumptious breakfast including fresh eggs that we gathered in the morning. We will be back to visit again.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We needed a place for our family to stay for a wedding in the area and this was perfect! The home was comfortable and plenty of space for us. The animals were such a nice treat and exactly what we didn’t know we needed. Would highly recommend The Sunshine house for a relaxing getaway with loved ones.

Stayed Jul 2, 2025Wow what a fun week! Such a beautiful amd peaceful property. We had a blast feeding the animals. We even got to collect fresh eggs every morning. Now let’s just talk about those adorable baby goats!!!!! They were so friendly and so much fun. Jessica is wonderful and answers immediately for any questions or anything you need. Five stars

Stayed Apr 26, 2025Such a nice house, very clean, updated appliances, and the cutested neighbors. My wife absolutely adored the goats, chickens, lambs, cats, ducks and geese! She even was able to feed a baby goat. Also one of the most untalked about the bed... so conofrtable!

Stayed Jun 22, 2024Nice, clean home. Lots of parking. Great outdoors with animals. Hames Boat ramp was less than a mile. Smith public boat ramp about 10 minutes. Close to food and gas stations Will def stay again
