“Our stay at Jim’s place was perfect for a weekend away. We’ll definitely book again! – Steve, March 2021”

We had a lovely stay at Weems Creek Cottage. It is so quaint, quiet, and thoughtful. We loved the scenery, the bedside view of the sunset over the river was stunning. We slept so well, absolute peace and immediate comfort. It’s also in a really cute area, nice little local restaurants and cafes nearby, and we enjoyed walking/driving to downtown Annapolis. Very easy to find, SO clean and very well designed, private and intimate, just really cute and charming spot. Jim was very friendly, responds immediately and provides all the information you could possibly need! We will definitely be returning in warming weather. Highly recommend! (January, 2025)

The original 1910 cottage studio was fully refurbished with charming décor and your comfort in mind.

In addition to the studio and screened-in porch, all of our guests have access to our waterfront backyard complete with fire pit, Adirondack chairs and fantastic views of Weems Creek: the boats, the birds and the sunsets!

Be sure to walk on down to the picnic area - on our private dock! There you can decide between the paddle boards, kayaking, or taking our boat out on to the Severn River or down to City Dock for a drink or a bite! (Experienced Boaters: Reach out to us about using our 17' Boston Whaler for an extra cost )

Over the summer, the dock picnic area is also the perfect setting for your own classic Maryland Crab Feast! For the chefs and adventurous at heart, we've got all the necessary pots and mallets to give it a go yourself. If you're not up for the mess - we can definitely tell you where to enjoy a crab feast in town.

Be sure to take a quick stroll through our neighborhood to grab local delicacies at the Great Harvest Bread Co, the Bean Rush Cafe and all the rest that the village of West Annapolis has to offer. Our location is pretty amazing.

Plus, we are only a few minutes' walk to the US Naval Academy’s Gate 8, the entrance to the historic Annapolis campus and Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium!

Friends, we hope you will enjoy your stay with us, and please, come again!

“I have stayed in the cottage in all 4 seasons and each has its own unique beauty. It is a great home away from home.” – Darcy, December 2021”

Pro tip: At City Dock, take the water taxi to Davis' Pub in Eastport, then do a progressive walking lunch or dinner on your way back to the city dock through Eastport, over the beautiful Spa Creek drawbridge - and back to the City Dock!

5 minutes walk to: Bean Rush Cafe/Coffee, Evelyns, Naval Bagels, RAR Brewing/Chessie's Wharf, In Grano, Positano, Always Ice Cream, Great Harvest Baking, and more.

The cottage was so cozy with just the right amenities to have everything be comfortable. Very clean , wonderful view and having water access was great to walk around even though it was too cold to get in. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I booked this sweet cottage for a short weekend trip with our 5 month old son. We absolutely LOVED every aspect of this location and rental. Jim was the sweetest host and definitely made us feel like home. We would definitely (and cant wait to) book this location again for another Annapolis visit. It's super close to everything you need.

Wow wow wow! Stay here! Host was great- very communicative and friendly. The place is right on the water, beautiful views and a comfortable place to stay. I’m sitting in the airport on my way back to Texas and already missing my little cottage by the water.

Jim is great to deal with! Communicates by text which makes it easy. Very willing to help with anything yet not intrusive in any way. This is a unique spot which is close to downtown Annapolis and the US Naval Academy. With a quick drive we were to all attractions and downtown area. The place has everything one needs and is comfortable also!

The cottage was everything we’d hope for and more. And anything else you might want is right there - restaurants, a bakery (get a snickerdoodle!), shops and an excellent grocery store. We’ll be back sooner than later.

The property was comfortable with amazing views! It was the perfect get away! Close to the Naval Acadeny and downtown. Everything needed was provided and well thought out. Even with a rain shower we were comfortable on the screened porch! Our host was attentive when needed and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you!

Our stay at Weems Creek Cottage in Annapolis was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we booked through checkout, the owner’s communication was exceptional—timely, thoughtful, and helpful at every step. While the listing’s beautiful photos initially drew us in, they can’t fully capture the charm, warmth, and breathtaking waterfront views that define this cottage. The modern kitchen was fully stocked with every essential for a seamless weekend getaway, and the spacious living areas were both inviting and comfortable. The owner put great care into every detail, from clear instructions for check-in to tips on enjoying the fire pit, boat dock, paddle boards, and fishing gear. This is truly a must-stay experience—easily a 5 star visit and the best VRBO we’ve experienced to date.

My husband I stayed at Weems Creek Cottage for a week for my daughter’s graduation from St. John’s College. It was perfect for us - an ample kitchen, comfortable bed, delightful waterfront location near the college and kind, accommodating hosts! We were able to host 3 of my daughter’s friends for a crab feast and later, a gathering of family the afternoon after graduation. We definitely recommend this cottage!

The place is very comfortable and tucked away on the creek with nice water views. The host was accessible but I didn’t need a thing! The screened porch is a wonderful spot to enjoy my scone and tea fresh from the Great Harvest bakery just up the road. The golden sunset was a bonus each evening.

Our stay at this Vrbo in Annapolis was nothing short of spectacular! The property is beautifully maintained, offering the perfect blend of comfort and style. The attention to detail was evident, from the cozy living spaces to the well-appointed kitchen that had everything we needed for our stay. The location is unbeatable—close enough to all the attractions, restaurants, and shops make Annapolis the charming city that it is (1.2 miles walk to the Naval Academy), while distanced enough to be a quiet retreat. We loved being able to explore the historic district and waterfront, then return to this tranquil retreat. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring our experience was smooth from start to finish. The thoughtful touches, like the welcome bottle of wine and local recommendations, made us feel right at home. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, this Vrbo is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return and make more memories in this wonderful home.

I am so happy I found this gem that was exactly what we expected, and then more! The cottage was spotless & extremely welcoming. The dock was great along w/ the use all of the outdoor watercrafts. The host, Jim is so accommodating and couldn't have made us fell more welcomed. He was extremely helpful, but at the same time gave us full privacy unless we reached out with a question or suggestion. we enjoyed the short walks to the delicious Mexican restaurant and adorable coffee shop. Our Uber rides were quick and easy to get downtown. I sure hope to return for years to come. Thank you for everything!

Jim is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to create an unparalleled experience with outstanding service and hospitality. We've stayed in numerous rentals, but this one truly stands out. The waterview, the boats, the hospitality, and the prime location were all incredible and deeply appreciated. If you're on the fence about booking this place, just do it. It's perfect for a couple. I even caught some nice perch right off the dock! Our biggest concern about renting on the water was the potential for mold or unpleasant odors, but this place was completely odor-free, filled with fresh air and delightful scents. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Jim, for making our stay so memorable!

We had our midshipman with us, who was in between blocks and wanted to have some friends over for a barbecue. This place was perfect. The kayaks and the dock provided a nice respite from DTA. If we needed something, the owner was quick to provide. The location was right near the academy, very convenient. If you’re just 2 people tired of hotels, paying extra for parking, and wanting to cook a couple of your meals, this is your place.
