Great cottage on a quiet dead end road, located between Short Sands and the Nubble Light. Five minute walk to Short Sands one way and Brown's ice cream the other! First floor has living room, dining room, sun room, kitchen, bathroom with tub/shower and laundry room with full size washer and dryer. There is a small porch off the back great for morning coffee in the sun! Upstairs has two bedrooms.
Large private yard, most of it on the side of the cottage; with enough room for a family cookout (gas grill in the back yard) and parking for 3 cars.
There's a gas heater on the main level for those chilly off season nights.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We provide blankets and pillows but you **MUST BRING YOUR OWN BED LINENS AND BATH TOWELS**

York's Wild Kingdom: Within walking distance is York's Wild Kingdom and amusement park.

This VRBO rental is in a great location on Cape Neddick and Nubble Lighthouse is a short walk. The house was clean and everything we needed was provided. My only complaint (and it's a small one really) is that the furniture is outdated and not very comfortable.

Thank you for sharing your cottage with us! York is our favorite beach and we had no shortage of things to do. We spent time at both Short Sands and Long Sands and loved that we could walk to either. The house reminded both my husband and I of our family cottages on Cape Cod and Pine Point, ME when we were growing up. The firepit, porches, patio and yard were beautiful additions to a wonderful seaside cottage. Thank you :^)
We immediately felt at home. It was clean and for its size it was remarkably spacious due to the porches and patio. The house has everything we needed and more. Most important, the beds were comfortable! Sue, the owner was a great communicator and check in was smooth. The walk to the beach took about 10 minutes but my 9 year old son and 80 year old mother had no problem, in fact, they enjoyed it.
We have stayed in many laces in York. This by far suites our needs and fulfilled our expectations completely. Clean beyond clean, comfortable with yard for cornhole badminton etc. hopefully we will be able to stay here again next year. Thank you. EBBIGHAUSEN/Leonard families
We cannot thank Sue and her family enough for sharing their beach cottage with us. The house was comfortable, clean, and stocked with everything you need for a week away in Maine (including lobster pots and gear!) The breezy back porch and front deck were spacious and great for late night sitting. Our two young boys absolutely loved running around the large side yard all week. Although very warm during the day with no AC, Sue and family provided many a window and floor fan to keep us cool...and the ocean breeze provided the coolest, sweater weather each night which made for easy summer sleeping. Our favorite part of all was loading up each morning and taking the sunny, scenic walk less than 10 mins down to Short Sands beach and spending the day playing in the sand and waves. We loved every minute our trip and hope to return some day!
House was exactly as advertised and met our needs perfectly. The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and we would definitely stay here again in the future.
The cottage was quintessential New England. I wasn’t surprised to hear the history; the pictures on the walls, furnishings and everything radiated family and past gatherings. There was everything we needed to serve food, extra blankets to snuggle with and the fire pit was also fun to gather around in the evening. The gas heater also took off the chill!What a wonderful neighborhood, great places to walk and eat.Sue was very responsive, got back to us quickly with any questions, and was extra flexible. We hope to return soon!
This beautiful cottage is a pure gem!!! It was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Everyone who was a guest felt right at home and cozy!! We especially loved the close proximity to the beach. And Sue and her husband are the perfect hosts! Sue was so helpful and quick to respond to whatever questions I had.
My friend and I stayed here and the house was bigger than I thought it would be…2 outdoor porches, one enclosed porch, and the beautiful fire pit area. It is close to downtown and the beaches.The neighborhood was lovely and we felt very safe walking at night.Sue, the owner, communicated with us if we had any questions. The weather was not the best but we made the of it and had a couple of beach days. Long Sands beach was our favorite!
Location, location, location! Easy walk to Short Sands or Long Sands, and the Nubble. Clean, well equipped, good communication, reasonably priced - you can't go wrong, book it!

This was a last minute getaway for our family. It was our first time staying at York, Beach. The house is exactly what you want during a Maine vacation. It is charming and comfortable. The house had everything you could ever think of for a beach vacation. The owner is lovely and helpful. The next door neighbor is kind and welcoming! I can not say enough about how charming this home is. We had an amazing vacation. When the days are packed with action, it was so nice to come back to a little story book cottage. We enjoyed our stay at this property. It's centrally located to beaches, Nubble Light, downtown York Beach for shopping and restaurants and the area is very walkable. The cottage was perfect for the four of us that stayed there. Things to note-there is only one bathroom located off the kitchen downstairs, away from the upstairs bedrooms and the home has no air conditioning but there is a lovely patio with a grill and fire pit outside and beach chairs and toys available for use. The kitchen was well-stocked with plates, glasses, silverware and everything we needed to do some cooking. 10/10 would recommend and would rent again.
This is possibly one of our favorite places to stay in York. Sue and Glenn are wonderful and getting in touch with them is easy, the property is just as described and upkept very well. Walking to either short sands or Nubble Light, parking is easy, grill out back. What else could you need. Can’t wait for our next visit!
