York Beach Walk to Short Sands and York's Wild Kingdom

Nice clean cottage with all the amenities, and then some! Safe, quiet neighborhood, easy access to Short and Long Sands beaches. Only wish we could've stayed longer!

This is a wonderful summer cottage within easy walking distance of Short Sands Beach and 'downtown' York Beach. We are hoping to come for 2 weeks next summer!

This was our second time staying here. We truly enjoyed our stay. The location couldn’t be much better and the owners were easy to work with. We’d definitely enjoy staying here again next year if available.

We spent a few weeks at the cottage and it was absolutely perfect. The location, the home itself, and the outdoor space all exceeded our expectations. Being within walking distance to both Short Sands and Long Sands made it easy to get around, whether we had the car or not. Communication with the owners was smooth and responsive, and the cottage was spotless upon arrival. We truly enjoyed our stay and are already planning to come back next year!

The property was well-stocked and in a nice, quiet neighborhood that was close to town and the Nubble. We enjoyed the yard and back patio and porches! Quaint, but had everything we needed!

We absolutely loved this cottage and are looking forward to staying again. It was so nice and cozy. Perfect beach house for our family. Great location. I can’t say enough positive things.

We had 3 teens and 2 adults. Location was great, we spent most of our time at the beach. About a .6 mile walk to the Nubble lighthouse which was perfect for a morning walk with a cup of coffee. The house was very well stocked. The only downside was a lack of AC. Fans were in every room, but with the heat wave it was warm!

An entire house to yourself on a private, dead -end road, less than a 10 minute walk to Short Sands Beach, and a 15 minute walk to Nubble Light House (where you can also get an amazing dinner, drinks, and ice cream for your efforts!) House has comfortable furniture, lawn parking, and owners provide ALL essentials from a full-sized stackable washer/dryer, full-sized fridge/freezer, to a propane grill, fire pit, grilling tools, s’mores sticks, microwave, coffee maker, and everything in between, needed to comfortably enjoy a beach vacation WITH kids! All other essential amenities provided—in case you’ve forgotten to bring something—including beach chairs and a wagon/cart! House is laid out to provide spaces for individuals, small, and large groups to gather—Sun porch, with queen futon, 2 bedrooms (sleeps 8 adults total) covered front and back porches, patio, a large grassy side yard! Everyone has their own space—helpful at times! Owners were super easy to reach/communicate with, instructions clearly laid out, and BEST OF ALL…having an outside shower with HOT WATER! ( as of now it’s not enclosed, but it’s near the back patio—and in bathing suits, or a little creativity on your part, there can be plenty of privacy! We will definitely try to book this home again for future vacations—If a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located family rental home are what you’re looking for, I highly recommend this one!

Great family house close to the ocean beaches; lots of room, everything we needed, well kept.Quiet, beautiful neighborhood.

Plenty of parking. Very nice place bigger than I expected. The neighbor Marge was very helpful with the recycling and fun to talk to.

The house was amazing. Very clean and spacious. Outside sitting with firepit (propane). Just perfect for us. Walking distance to Short Sands. Communication was very good.

Booked this for my uncle and his daughter and 2 children ages 11 and 14 for two nights. They loved it, went to Nubble, Short Sands beach, Lobster Cove and a good time was had by all. I'd recommend this cottage it was clean, and location was stellar. Loved the little back patio with its gas fire pit, we made s'mores with the kids...

The area was beautiful and house was perfect for what we needed it for. Didn’t get to enjoy the area as much as we wanted since we were part of a softball tournament. But the over house is very nice and area is just beautiful!
