Stayed Jun 14, 2026This was a great place to stay! The walk to Lake Michigan was short and sitting on the deck to watch the sunset was wonderful. The house was cozy with a well stocked kitchen, the King bed was comfortable and the area quiet so sleeping was great, and the location was perfect. 10 minutes to Meijer and Tim Hortons, 10 minutes in the other direction to downtown Muskegon. Would stay again!

Stayed Jun 7, 2026This was a fine rental for a small family or a couple. The bed was wonderful! Kitchen had whatever one would need. Actually, everything well supplied! The one thing I would change would be better lighting in the living area. Interesting experience...there was a storm and we lost power for a day. The hostess was more than willing to help out but there could have been a couple flashlights available. Interesting neighborhood...friendly, lots of deer, turkey with little ones and of course Lake Michigan. We would definitely recomedt this hostes and her property.

Stayed Sep 6, 2025Great owner and communication! The location was serene and chill. Easy access to the beach—although there is no view of the lake from the property. There are excellent trails and other little lakes nearby to explore. It was wonderful to have various places to walk. Pere Marquette beach area is nearby with paid parking and amenities. The house is convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. It was also safe and in a private community. Some of the linens etc and furniture could be updated. Well appointed kitchen with everything you could need to cook. Drip coffee maker. I would def consider staying here again—great stay!

Stayed Aug 25, 2024This cottage is just as described, wooded area off the beaten path but close to civilization. Our family had a wonderful vacation here and loved it! Communication with our host and check in was easy and pleasant. The place is clean and cozy and decorated nicely. The short walk up the hill to the first deck overlooking the beach below is perfect for an evening watching the sunset. Steps down to the sandy beach below are many, but well built. People on the beach were friendly and the sand is soft. The large front deck with table and chairs has a large propane grill. The kitchen is ready to prepare food and the bay window with seating affords a view to the sunrise, barely visible through the trees on the hills that surround this place where deer and turkeys wander. Ample seating in the living room and a large table for family meals in near the entrance. We didn't use the sleeper there but it's big enough for 2 people. Master bedroom king size bed is firm but the foam top is very comfortable. Second bedroom has a cute toddler boat bed, upper bunk and convenient full size bed. Bathroom and laundry are convenient and loads of towels for bathing.

Stayed Aug 12, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cottage in the woods. Very peaceful and serene. We also enjoyed watching deer and wild turkeys outside our windows. It was great to go to Lake Michigan w/o having to get into our cars and drive. Thoroughly enjoyed evening sunsets over the lake from the deck at the beach. Would definitely stay here again.
