Nice property in beautiful surroundings. Good first impression. Very bad moldy odor from fridge. A comfortable bed in the bedroom, however a folding bed in living room very squeaky/uncomfortable.

One of the most beautiful and clean rentals I have ever stayed at. Wish we could have stayed longer. Spend 3 nights here before getting on a ferry to the south island.

What a great cottage with fantastic view, birds cheeping morning and evening, great deck and the most comfortable bed we have had since leaving our Tassie home a month ago! Couldn’t recommend this little gem more highly!

This is a great base for exploring Wellington - especially if you use the local train from Tawa. The accommodation is very modern and very spacious, with a wonderful view from the large verandah. Highly recommended - would say again!

This is the perfect place for people like us who like the city but prefer to sleep in the country where you can birdwatch and hike. Nearby towns and eating places were easily accessible (what did we do before phone apps?) but woke up to bunnies nibbling on the lawn and Tuis calling. The hosts were not home but everything was as described. Lovely furnishings and spacious rooms.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in this beautiful cottage. Surrounded by quiet countryside but still very close to Wellington. Woke up every morning to all sorts of bird calls, loved it!!

We arrived in the early evening after driving for most of the day. Carol came straight over to welcome us and make us feel welcome. She suggested a lovely restaurant for dinner, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I could not recommend this lovely cottage, and Carol, any more strongly.

A really lovely property, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there as a couple. Wouldn't recommend to anyone other than mature couples due to pristine white/cream carpets though. Having been a cleaner in 4 star hotels myself I certainly would have made sure the sheets were clean and the toe nails were hoovered up from the mat though. Being there for a very strong earthquake, personally I would have made sure my guests were safe. We were up seeing if our hosts lights were on and listening for any help that may have been needed: but maybe that's just us. Luckily our concern for our hosts was aided by the trees that had been cut down so from the main house the cottage could be easily seen into. The neighbour yelling at their children wasn't as entertaining as one might have thought it would be, given we had both come away for a peaceful retreat to leave stress and our own children behind. I hope our guests appreciate that we did the dishes and cleaned up after the earthquake which was strong enough to knock things over, spill drinks and knock mirrors off the wall, so sincerely hoping there was no structural damage to the lovely building. A truly beautiful place, modern cottage with almost every amenity provided - a very nice place for mature couples to stay and conveniently very close to city centre, airport and shops.

Beautiful property with quality fittings all around. Very nice and tidy. Everything provided and at the best of quality. Definitely going back.

The cottage was a perfect home away from home. We come from the tropics and to have a nice warm cosy place to come back to was lovely. Although the views were of rolling hills, it was short 10 minutes to shopping and amenities and 15 minutes to the city. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it.
