Stayed Oct 25, 2024A very pleasant one weeks stay. Very quiet and tranquil. Watching the varied birdlife on the lake was delightful. all new appliances in the kitchen were appreciated. The only negative was the small size of the shower.

Stayed Aug 7, 2024We had a very nice time at Whalers Cottage. The location is excellent and within walking distance of town, beach and local attractions. It was wonderful to watch grebes and coots feeding in the beautiful pond outside. Frog calls lulled us to sleep each night The cottage was clean and functional. Plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils were provided. The air conditioner was sufficient to keep us warm in the living area, provided the door was kept closed. An enjoyable holiday.

Stayed Dec 6, 2022The cottage is located in a very lovely spot looking out onto a lake with some ducks . It's located in a very quiet location and less than a 5 minute drive to the main shopping centre in Port Fairy.

Stayed Oct 18, 2019Whilst Port Fairy is a lovely place and we enjoyed our time there we thought the accomodation at No 1 Whalers Cottage was very basic, there seems to be very little maintenance, and the contents are all very dated. The shower is tiny. There is no wifi. When contacted staff at Stayz were quick to respond.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Whalers cottage is a great spot, just not in winter! Its cold & the R.C. aircon cant keep up!
