Great location and the house is very cute. The only concern we had was that the bathroom was not clean and our bed sheets too (with somebody's hair all over).
Just right for a small family getaway with water access. Felt safe and clean.
Had a very nice weekend at this cottage. Very cozy atmosphere, accommodating and comfortable. The weather cooperated so we were able to enjoy the outdoors and the view of the canal. Easy access to country store as well as other shopping in Silverdale. Look forward to staying here again.
The morning sunrise.
Stay was decent until we realized we left our Apple TV device plugged into the TV. I Contacted the host and was told it would cost $25 to send someone to the property to look. I was charge immediately. Over the next 6 weeks, I kept asking and a different person from the host company, each time, wrote me back saying they’d send someone out and get back to me. I finally asked for my $25 back and THEN was told my device was not there. Poor communication and canned responses. I will not be back.
All was great!
We enjoyed our trip. The house was relaxing and well-kept. A perfect place to relax and escape the busy city.
Basic cabin set behind another cabin on the Hood Canal. Met our needs but felt a bit sterile. Path access to house was steep and a bit treacherous for my 90 year old mother - that was not clear in the description. Working exterior solar lights would help a lot. Loft ceiling was very low for 2nd bed better for one kid, although it is open to the living area. There is a pole in front of the nice large TV so a different furniture arrangement would make sense. Main bed was very high and difficult for mom. Basics were in the kitchen although we didn't cook, but the microwave wave did not fit a full plate and was very low power.
Seabeck cottage sits behind the main beach house and has its own view of the canal and plenty of sunlight and trees. Cozy family room and very comfortable bed.
Nice little cottage shares a lot with a larger main house which is also a rental. You can walk through the yard of the main house to get to the beach and a canoe with life jackets is provided. The master bed needs a new mattress; the non-functional Sleep Number was not super comfortable. Decent kitchen, includes towels and toiletries. The furniture is not very comfortable for long stretches in front of the TV, but the large screen was appreciated.
This was a very comfortable place in a charming community. I liked it a lot. My only concern was the difficulty communicating with the management company. The electronic lock wasn't working when I arrived. I texted them but never got a reply, so I called but hung up when I learned there was a one hour wait. I eventually got the lock to work on my own.
This house is in a great location with the water just a short walk down the hill. It’s shaded, which really helped with the hot weather we had while there. The smart tv was great with the option for guests to log in to all the big streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc). Now for the not so great…our stay started off rocky as the house had not been cleaned after the previous renters. The management company did attempt to fix this by giving us a partial refund and having somebody come clean that evening. However, we had to spend a lot of time on the phone on hold or waiting for a callback while Vacasa contacted the local management. Also, the house was not cleaned thoroughly after that as there was dirt/crumbs in the corners and linens from the previous guests left in the washer and dryer with the instructions that we were to change them out when the cycle ended. We also found some things left behind by others in the cupboards and drawers (a diaper, a glass of (maybe) water, etc.). The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean, but the other furniture was not very clean or comfortable. There were big stains on the pillows at the dining table and the chair in the living room was old and dingy. The master bedroom and bathroom were updated and clean, but the rest of the house could use some attention. The little loft was cute and worked well for our group. I do appreciate that Vacasa tried to fix the issues we had, but overall, we were not overly impressed and won’t be back.
