Villa Gaïa – Holiday home with private pool in the pines near Aix-en-Provence

Your own little stone house on a Provençal mas, ten minutes from Aix-en-Provence – with a private pool, your own terrace and pine woods at the door.

THE HOUSE
60 m² entirely to yourselves: separate entrance, your own forecourt, completely detached from the main house. Inside, a large open living room with old ceiling beams, terracotta floors and an open kitchen, plus a bedroom with a double bed (160x200) and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and WC. The built-in wooden bench in the living room holds two further sleeping places – four people sleep here in total, ideal for a family with two children.

The kitchen is fully equipped: induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and crockery for six. Heating is by air conditioning with a heat setting and by the wood stove, which warms the whole living room. We provide the firewood.

POOL AND GARDEN
The pool is yours alone during your stay. It is fenced and secured to standard, and we look after the pool maintenance.

In front of the house is your own forecourt with table and chairs under the shade sail, and behind it the pine wood with a hammock. Barbecue as you like: both a charcoal and a gas grill are available, just let us know. For the children there are football goals, a table tennis table and a badminton court on the grounds – we will set those up too if you wish.

GOOD TO KNOW
The access is about 80 metres of unlit gravel track, so a car is necessary. Outside high summer the pool is not heated. The goldfish pond in the garden is not fenced – please keep an eye on small children.

GETTING HERE
Marseille-Provence airport: 30 minutes by car. Aix-en-Provence TGV station: 15 minutes. Centre of Aix: 10 minutes. A rental car is practically essential, there are no public buses out here.

We live in the main house and are there if you need anything – otherwise you have your peace and quiet. German, English and French are no problem.
