Located in Vienna's finest residential district, it is a heaven for holidays in Vienna. The location of the cottage is not only a superb base from which to explore Vienna but also perfect for cycling and walking.
This cottage and surrounding area in quaint Kahlenbergdorf, near the Donau and nested in the vineyards and forested hills of the Kahlenberg was just wonderful. The cottage, just behind the main house and so a nice distance from the main road (and free parking close by as well), was simply and tastefully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen - it was comfortable and cosy with a nice bit of garden for our dog and TV and wi-fi for us! Vienna is also very directly and easily accessible - only 12 to 15 minutes by car and 20 to 25 minutes by public transport, which is right close by. The host (and his dog Henri) were very friendly and welcoming. We had a truly memorable stay.:)
Comfortable, relaxing and good place to stay. Set up of apartment was very nice. I was here for a weekend and it was a great location to get to the centre by U-bahn or by bicycle nd enjoy all of central vienna atractions.
I have visited Vienna many times, and this is the best way to do it, especially if you plan to stay more than one or two nights. I give this cottage my highest recommendation. It is easy to reach central Vienna from here (via bus line 239 to Heiligenstadt and subway U4 from there), but you also have the great advantage of sleeping in the village of Kahlenbergerdorf (you are not going to hear the crickets chirping at night in a hotel in Vienna). In addition, you are located at the foot of the Leopoldsburg, which means you can wander off into the Vienna Woods directly from your front door. You gaze out on a vineyard from your breakfast table, and you can enjoy sun, fresh air, and peace and quiet before and after you visit the sites in Vienna. There are two traditional Viennese Heurigen (wine taverns serving traditional Viennese dishes) close by. The cottage is very pleasant, clean, and airy, and it has everything you need for your stay. In addition to a full kitchen, television, and wireless internet, there is a washing machine to wash your clothes, something that I find particularly nice given the limited number of laundromats in Vienna. The pictures you see here are quite accurate, and you only need to add some sun and a warm breeze to get the general idea. I assure you, you will not regret booking a stay here.
