Two Bedroom Cottage On 2 Acre Stocked Pond Minutes From Downtown Indianapolis

Property was everything that was listed. Owner did extra steps to accommodate our large family. Those extra steps and the hand written note, made us feel right at home. The house had everything we needed. Grandchildren fishing in the pond was the highlight of their vacation. To them better than the zoo and museum. Their words best vacation ever. Thank you Larry and Margo. Have already told family to use this listing when visiting Indy.

The cottage and property were impeccably kept and perfect for our stay with our dogs. Everything was clean, the yard and pond were beautiful, the kitchen was so easy to prepare meals in, and communication with the hosts was seamless. We highly recommend, and would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you for the hospitality!

We had a great time staying here. We were here for the ncaa men’s basketball final four at Lucas oil stadium. Ubering to and from downtown Indianapolis was very easy. House and property were wonderful. Even caught a fish!

This is the second time we’ve visited this location. And we cannot speak more highly of it! The owners are very kind and accessible. If you love nature and the quiet outdoors, or just need some peaceful downtime, this is the place for you. For us, we are nature buffs but love most the location for it is a central spot between our two families. We have an adult son with special needs. He needs to stay in the same place each day/night where he can retreat from loud noise and easily access the bedroom, bathroom, dining and entertainment spaces all on one floor. Being able to rent this space has meant the world to us. We’ve been able to gather our entire family together, which otherwise has not been possible.The home is clean, spacious, comfortable, inviting and fully stocked with what you might need (dishes, blankets, games and even outdoor activities!). The owners graciously share their laundry with you and are available should you have questions or technical difficulties in using the TV, etc.

Larry and his wife were amazing hosts. They are very kind, easy to work with and thoughtful. Not once did we feel unsafe on the property. It was so peaceful and relaxing. A great sancuary to come back to from the crazy ARBA convention we were here to attend. We had fun fishing off the dock, relaxing by the firepit and curling up watching TV. It truly felt like home away from home. If we ever come back to Indy, we will definitely want to stay here again.

The hosts were welcoming beyond expectations. The property is stunning. It provided the perfect balance of peacefulness, beauty, and convenience. We will definitely book again.

The place was awesome. Very clean. Very well equipped with all the essentials. The owner was so friendly and made you feel very welcomed. No issues with feeling unsafe. Loved the house!!

Very clean adorable cottage with everything you could possibly need in a quiet country setting with great fishing

Oh my goodness we didn’t want to leave. We’ve done VRBO for years. This was the best. The property is out of this world. So peaceful and beautiful. Don’t be worried that the owners are near the property . They want you to feel as if it’s your own home. Both Larry and his wife Margo were the best hosts. Our little dog Maggie had a ball! This is truthfully a hidden treasure.

Peaceful getaway but close to everything you need. Larry & Margo are incredibly accommodating. This has become one of our favorite go to places when in town.

We had such a good time. The hosts are wonderful. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful house with a small dock and a pond out back! We spent more time birdwatching during our 5 day visit than we have all year! House was well stocked and very comfortable and the owners were professional and friendly.

What a hidden gem in Cumberland (far east side of Indianapolis)! The cottage was immaculate, as well as the grounds. Margo and Lawrence are excellent hosts. They live in the main house, so are close and accessible for any questions. Our family came down for Father’s Day and loved fishing and swimming. A 10!!!

4 adults spent 3 nights at this cottage. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Flexible check in and check out with no additional costs. The cottage had everything you needed. Meijers is 5 min away for groceries. The guys fished for 3 days and were wore out from all the fish they caught. The biggest was a 2 lb. Bass. The owners live on the grounds but we felt alone in the home and on the 2 acre pond with a great dock. Everything you need to cook is there as well as an outside grill. Will definitely stay here again. KM

I can't say enough on how great our stay was here. It's so green and the pond is just beautiful. Larry and Margo are the best hosts that we have ever encountered. The area is very quite and full of birds and wildlife. We look forward to going back someday.

Lovely place, wonderful owners!

This is such a warm and welcoming home. Owners were wonderful. Very clean and cozy with everything you might need already there. The pond was such a blessing to all of us. We caught and released many catfish, bass and bluegill. Deck overlooking the pond was perfectly placed for watching sun setting. Perfect location! Cant wait until our next trip!

Our stay was perfect! The location was a short (30 min) drive to both the Indianapolis Zoo and the Children's Museum. However my 9 year grandson was happiest fishing off the dock. The home was immaculate, had everything one could need, beds were super comfortable, and having a fenced area for pets was great. Many thanks to the Strodtman's for providing the perfect place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The yard was a decent size, which is great, especially if you have a dog. There is a fire pit and a nice dock to to fish off of. There are several stores/restaurants within a short drive. The Indiana Dunes National Park is only 2.5 hrs away.

We loved our stay at this property! The area is very peaceful and it was a fabulous respite from the chaos of an event we attended at a nearby hotel. The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable. My husband loved the stocked pond and he fished several times. We greatly appreciated that Larry and Margo allowed dogs and even provided a small fenced yard. They answered any questions we had immediately. I would strongly recommend this property and would stay here again!

We were looking for a place that would allow our pups for us to relax and still be close to go to Fever games. The pond behind is the cottage is wonderful and fishing easy even for a non-angler. We were not disappointed and will definitely be back!
