We visit from Massachusetts to attend events at the University of Puget Sound and consider this cottage as our home away from home.

We had a wonderful stay at this cute cottage. It was very clean, well appointed and the hosts are personable and responsive. It is walkable to the Proctor District, which has many restaurants, shops and breweries, as well as very close to a small park and walking trail. We made great use of the lovely deck in the back, which has a table large enough for 6. We would stay there again!

We really enjoyed this lovely cottage and our hosts were so considerate and welcoming when we arrived. Everything we could have needed was there and the furnishings were very comfortable. We were visiting family in the proctor area so this location was very convenient. A very short walk to the market and shops. We would definitely book again!

We had such a wonderful warm welcome as we stepped out of the car upon arrival! The cottage was lovely and comfortable. And so convenient to restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. We walked every day and questioned whether we really needed a rental car during our stay! It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will return.

I couldn't rave more about the location of this cottage--walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. But equally private and quiet in the cottage/neighborhood. I loved it and would definitely stay again.

The cottage was absolutely the best ever!! From location to perfectly fitting for my grandson to stay part of the time, to a great kitchen for preparing all my pies and dishes to take to the big Thanksgiving feast a few minutes away. Comfy and cozy, and wonderful peace and neighborhood atmosphere from start to finish. Would stay here anytime family gets together in this area, and maybe even just as a fun, walkable place to spend time exploring this area. Hosts were the best ever!

Can't beat the location (short 2 block walk to Proctor). Has all the amenities needed for a comfortable extended stay.

This is the second time staying at Danny’s cottage. Was just as lovely this time. Perfect location near Procter and UPS. Quiet and cozy. The steps to the upstairs bedroom are steep and quite narrow but this was not an issue for us.

Perfect location in the Procter District. Easy walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants and a quick drive to Point Defiance Park and the waterfront. House had everything we needed.

My wife and I spent a very relaxing month at Thistledown Cottage in North Tacoma. Danny and Teres were lovely hosts, always available when we needed anything. The house is cozy. Nice to have separate rooms (living, dining, den, kitchen, bedroom and a nice outdoor deck). The house had all the necessities. Bathroom had a great shower. The only minor cons were the bathroom sink is small (hard to wash your face or shave) and sparse cabinet space in kitchen for our food. We adapted by keeping our food bins on the floor in the kitchen - no big deal. The neighborhood is lovely. We took advantage of some local restaurants just around the corner and Point Defiance Park is great for walks. It was a great visit and the weather was perfect mid July to mid August. We have friends and family in the area so we'll probably be back.
