Stayed Jun 28, 2022We had such a nice stay at Jordi and Anna's rental home. The house is large with spacious rooms and kitchen. We loved having our meals outside on the upper terrace. The house is charming with it's front courtyard and cobblestone village. We took a stroll through the ancient village and it was one of my favorite vacation memories. Communication was easy and the hosts were quick to reply and always helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed Apr 19, 2022This is an excellent house in a peaceful Crete village with beautiful views. It retains lovely original features while offering good modern amenities. The village has important historical significance and offers excellent local walking. We were able to watch griffon vultures tending a chick in the nearby Sirikari gorge during our short Spring stay.

Stayed Jan 1, 2022Our family (parents and two teens) had a wonderful stay in this VRBO. It is such a special home, well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely views, many indoor and outdoor spaces, and an incredible village to explore while there. I highly recommend this hilltop house for anyone looking for the nature of Crete and a quiet holiday. Our hosts were very responsive and so welcoming too!

Stayed Aug 30, 20219/16/21 My wife and I recently spent 6 nights in the small, quiet, historic village of Polyrrinia. 7 kl outside of Kissomos. We had made our reservations based on the beautiful pictures of the Villa without knowing much about the town. We were not prepared for how magical a place it is with a long interesting history. The villa itself is hard to fully describe and give a true sense of how unique it is. There are time you leave a place and feel sad. Other times you FEEL SAD!! If I had money and it was for sale we could easily seeing spending the rest of our lives there. I can't recommend it highly enough. Richard

Stayed Jul 23, 2021This is the most charming villa with stunning mountain views in the ancient village of Polirrinia. It is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. It is clean and very well equipped. The bathrooms are functional and the water pressure in the showers is excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The bbq was the best we have ever had in Greece! The locals were charming- on two occasions we were treated to Greek singing and lyre playing by neighbours. We explored the ancient sights of Polirrinia which was fascinating. The local taverna is excellent , friendly and very good value. Also close to Kissamos beaches and shops so well situated. Fantastic!

Stayed May 25, 2019We celebrated our anniversary here with a toddler and baby. There was plenty of space and we our little ones loved playing here. Initially I thought it wouldn’t be child friendly as the stairs are very steep and there’s lots of decorative antiques around but the outdoor space was great and our little ones both did great! We loved the taverna in the village as well.

Stayed Aug 7, 2018The house is located at the edge of a charming hilltop village scattered with fascinating archeological remains. The house is well furnished and very attractively decorated in a traditional style. We were 6 people and had plenty of space. Also lots of outdoor living space with lovely views over the Cretan hills. Some practical points worth noting: drive to stores, etc. In Kissamos is about 10-15 minutes down a typically winding and steep Cretan road. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. Only one of the bedrooms has air conditioning though given the breezy hilltop location that wasn't an issue for us, and we stayed in mid August. The taverna just outside the village is quite good. Definitely worth patronizing.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great week, the owners made us very welcome in this traditional property. The villa had everything we needed and lots of space. The village of polyrinia is pretty and overlooks a steep valley with mountains all around. It is built on the site of an ancient Hellenic city and there is a great walk through the village and up to the hilltop above with ruins from various centuries. The taverna on the way up to the hilltop is very nice with fantastic views especially at sunset. Kisamoss is 10-15 minutes drive with good amenities and a very nice beach with a good restaurant (Maria Beach) and free sun beds and shades at the eastern side beside the small river. We would certainly recommend it!

Stayed May 30, 2017We recently stayed at this lovely house for two weeks. It is a converted olive mill and is full of character, situated in an old village, with the remains of an ancient city further above, in the heart of idyllic Greek countryside. It is a very peaceful place with the town off Kissamos six or seven kilometres away. Niall and Linda Scott.
