Traditional Lake Michigan Cottage

We had such an amazing time. The view was spectacular and it ended up being warm enough to swim! The price was perfect for a lakefront cottage on Memorial Day. The cottage is on the older side but from the deck overlooking the lake to the cleanliness of the interior, age was just a number. Thank you for a memorable weekend for our family!

Amazing views, the sunsets are incredible and the hosts are communicative and left us a great local gift for our anniversary stay. Would stay again without a doubt!

This is a value venue. It does not have all of the updated reno ations of other properties but it is not pretending to and it is appropriately priced. Ultimately I was after the location which was perfect and the amenities were more than adequate.

It's hard to beat the location of the property. You have a personal section of beach which is awesome for kids and dogs. The house is very rustic so don't have high expectations for this. The house is, however, very livable with a nice kitchen set up, dishwasher and washer and dryer. Beach stairs could be challenging for small kids, disabled or the elderly. The stairs are also a little on the old and weathered side and a little scary for my teenager to traverse.

I loved the location and private beach and views from cottage picture window and deck. Cottage was clean. Yay! Our stay was enjoyable and nostalgic -- I look forward to booking again. A bit expensive for me, but probably a good price for the location.Host left us a very nice welcome gift, but her answers to questions before arriving were not sufficient for me. (I need details.) Now that I know how everything works, future bookings should be easy.Curtains did not completely cover windows.Kitchen was fine - Keurig coffee machine didn't work for us.Website was not user-friendly for me.All in all, we had a fabulous, relaxing vacay.Thank you!

Cute little cottage that is everything they said it was. 3 bedrooms, on the lake, kitchen to cook and stairs to the lake. Not the newest on the lake, but oozes charm and warmth. Mattresses were comfortable and we would stay again.

The best hosts ever! When we arrived the power was out all over the area due to bad weather. The hosts graciously moved us to another one of their properties, Property # 2196700, that was beautiful. After 12 inches of snow our second day at the property the hosts plowed the driveway so we could leave the next day. The property is right on Lake Michigan. Gorgeous sunsets! The house is immaculate and updated. We highly recommend the property and the hosts!

The view was wonderful but ...It was very complicated to figure out how to get the internet and TV to work, but the host came out quickly and fixed it.Garbage bins were overflowing but again after contacting the host she came out and fixed that also.Overpowering cat smell around the exterior of the house.It was frustrating that there was no complimentary coffee, dish soap, beach chairs, or beach towels.Little things like having bedside lamps and a well stocked kitchen would have made our stay more pleasant.Again, great location and views of Lake Michigan!

The location on the beach was great. The cottage had a nice wide sandy CLEAN beach. Having the beach chairs supplied was wonderful. Lots of toys for sand castles. The cottage itself was clean, thanks for the throws in the living room. The upstairs bathroom was tiny - the sink was tiny and the shower - no fatties can use it! The downstairs bathroom shower was beautiful! But the sink is in the laundry room. Lots of towels and having a washer/dryer at the beach was perfect. The a/c is a necessity with the humid summer we had. All in all, it’s clean, functional and the price was at a good price point. The stairs are steep to the beach - hold onto the handrail! The views from inside and on the deck were spectacular! The owner was very responsive with questions and bringing a few items we needed. I would stay there again.

The entire property is in a state of disrepair. From the moment you walk in, you’ll instantly notice any of the many issues with this place: the peeling wallpaper, the bugs and spiders, dirty carpet, gum on blankets, the smell… this was extremely misleading and unpleasant to stay in. I am extremely disappointed in the rental and how it completely took away from our ability to have a relaxing vacation weekend.

This was a perfect location for our family. My husband and I were so excited for the bike trail right outside. Our daughters loved the beach. The view from the deck is incredible. I could have sat outside all day and watched the water. The rooms were perfect. The communication was great and check in and out were a breeze.

Access to the private beach is amazing!

This property was clean, comfortable, cozy and charming tucked into a wooded area with a private stairway down to the shore of Lake Michigan to a private beach. The view of Lake Michigan from the house was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped and bright. There were plenty of places to sit inside and outside and enjoy the view.
