Tides-oceanfront cottage near Acadia

Loved the location, setting, dock with kayaks and rowboat. Hosts were very friendly and gracious! Couldn’t have been happier with our choice!

This was the perfect property for our first visit to Maine and Acadia with our 4 kids (ages 7-11). The home was clean, comfortable and perfect for us. It is perfectly located on the quiet side of the island but still not too far of a drive to all the main attractions of Acadia. The beds were super comfy and we slept well each night after a day of activity in the park. We loved coffee on the deck looking at the water each morning, our kids loved kayaking each night at twilight and we loved watching the stars on clear nights. Couldn’t have asked for a better Maine vacation or rental. We will definitely be back!

The pictures did not do the house or scenery justice. It was perfect in every way! We will definitely be back. The host was so nice and accommodating. We loved the location away from bar harbor but also close to the national park. We loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back.

WOW, UTTERLY PERFECT!! I couldn't have found a better house. Private and cozy cabin right on the water with ample space, updated rooms and amenities, pristine landscaping, its own dock, kayaks, and fire pit. House was spotless and has everything that you need. Host was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend for anyone. The whole island is beautiful!

The photos do not do this spot justice. It was so cozy and our stay was fantastic. We were splitting time in Acadia and Boston, and now I wish I would have made it an entire one in Maine to stay here. I could have drank coffee and stared out the front window over looking the water all day.

Great location with beautiful views. Close enough to restaurants and attractions . Well stocked kitchen and plenty of space overall. The wheeled luggage cart was was a welcome addition as well. Overall an enjoyable stay and if we revisit the area would stay here again

When you first walk in, you notice immediately how clean it is. Well stocked, perfect for our family of five adults. The deck is perfect, overlooks the water and all you need is a good book! Kayaks were wonderful to have right there! The owner was there in ten minutes when we needed a new tank for the grill. She was wonderful. Can’t say enough good things!

The cottage and location was great. Quiet but close to trails and larger towns. Enjoyed the use of kayaks.

We went for our daughter’s senior trip and this property was amazing. Beautiful views, quiet, enjoyed the kayaks too! Would definitely stay again. The only issue we had was running out of hot water pretty quickly. A family of five and maybe 2 could get consecutive hot showers.

Absolutely loved the cottage and the waterfront location! Having coffee looking out over the water was so peaceful. Nicely renovated and found everything we needed. Not too far from Bar Harbor or Acadia landmarks.

I truly wish I could have stayed longer. It is a peaceful setting, especially in the mornings at sunrise. We toured Acadia, Bar Harbor, Southwest, and Northeast Harbors. FYI not much was open the last week in October. The house is spotless and well-appointed. The owner provides quality linens, towels, cookware, grill, and grilling tools. Bring your own Shampoo though. The twin room has a TV which we did not use. The King room does not, but it really didn't matter. We watched TV in the living room. I regret we did not get out in the kayaks this visit. Make time for that. I only deducted one star for the location because you have to drive to get to any store or restaurant and it is quite a drive over to Bar Harbor. We would stay here again, it really is very comfortable and serene.

My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay. Well appointed cottage with remarkable views of the harbor! Great place to stay to explore MDI and Bar Harbor. We look forward to coming back.

Views lovely over the water. Open common area with kitchen/living space great for spending time with our friends.

Really enjoyed our stay at Tides Cottage. Lots of hiking and biking and kayaking. Ate lots of lobster from Thurstons and Charlotte’s and steamed our own on two nights. Ate marshmallows outside at the fire pit. The cottage was clean and peaceful and pretty conveniently located.
