TI ZAN COTTAGE

WE ARE SUPER EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE AC HAS BEEN INSTALLED AS OF JULY 10th!

Close enough to all activities and yet an oasis of tranquility this exotic property with its sensuous style of easy luxury set on an acre of hillside above the sea, combines the best of West Indian architecture with a hint of the East, to create a home of exceptional tropical flair, character and ambiance.

With its typical West Indian woodwork, hand-made Demarara and louvered windows, vaulted Indonesian style wooden shingled roofs, organic mix of natural stone, marble, wood and glass, burnt orange exterior, “outdoor” shower set in lush gardens, this stylish yet rustic cottage provides a great location for an exceptional, romantic Caribbean experience perfect for two.

Perched on the hillside above the main villa ZANDOLI, the views from Ti Zan are even more spectacular. The large covered veranda and cane chairs around a wooded table, is a perfect place for any meal, or any time.

The deck opens onto a spacious open-plan studio with queen size bed, TV, and kitchen tiled in earth toned tumbled marble. The floor to ceiling wooden louvers and large doors are designed to ensure that the drama of the view is fully captured within the cottage at all times.

The shower area is unique. Tiled with local river and imported stone, the area is suspended outdoors with large traditional wooden windows flung wide open to embrace the view. Both the main villa, Zandoli and Ti Zan were designed with a blend of modern and traditional architectural detailing of their roofs, eaves and windows to capture the most of the prevailing Trade Winds to ensure tropical, yet cool comfort year round. New pexiglass fittings on windows ensures that the AC keeps the cottage nice and cool - while still enjoying the stunning views.

The gardens are tropical and lush, with an infusion of exotic palms, grasses, trees, shrubs, and other tropical species, interspersed with an array of fruit trees.

Ti Zan is within walking distance to the beach and Pigeon Island, a great area for hiking, running, walking and exploring the history of this region. Pigeon Island is a historic National Park and home of St. Lucia’s internationally famous Jazz Festival, now in its 23rd year, and held in May. Sunset “rum punch” cruises, championship golf, tennis, internationally renowned health spas, restaurants, clubs, banks, shopping and a marina with yachts available for charter await, a 5-7 minute ride by car to Rodney bay Marina and Rodney Bay Village.

The cottage is accessed by road, a short section of which (approximately 1 minute ) is unpaved - causing our guests to say that it puts them immediately in the mood for 'Island Life.

We usually recommend that our guests opt for an SUV type vehicle if they are interested in renting given that it provides superb access to off-the-beaten track gems in St Lucia. Staff: Housekeeper half-day service, once weekly.

Great communication with owner. Lots of details sent in advance with detailed directions ( St Lucia is quite hard to find your way around). Greeted by Velda, the housekeeping lady who was very helpful. But wow! The view from the balcony is absolutely amazing of Pigeon Island. Also we had complete privacy.

Amazing views and sunsets. A place to truly disconnect. Ocean views from every section of the space. The shower is highlight #2. It is large with a skylight and large window with an ocean view. The unit is tucked away for peace and tranquility. If renting a vehicle get a small suv at a minimum as the last section of road is unpaved. I will stay again.

TiZan is a lovely villa with really stunning views of land and sea that will never cease to amaze. If you like to be surrounded by nature, there are numerous birds and the odd lizard. I even spotted a hermit crab. The Cicadas and frogs will sing you to sleep at night along with the crashing of the waves down below. A 4wd SUV is a must as some of the road is unmade and most things are a drive away.

Stayed here from Christmas Eve to New Years eve 2024absolutely perfect for us located in the hill side with stunning sea view. Its great to drive around the local area and explore different beaches on both sides of the island, Bars and Restaurants all within 20 mins or so - about 3 large Supermarkets near by and shopping mall. Parking is always easy.Lens communication is spot on through all the process and thanks Len for the tip to visit Cotton Bay - that is an amazing un-spoilt quiet beach you can drive onto, we spent many hours relaxing there.Row and Suzi Tompkins

Len's Ti Zan property is a dream, more beautiful than the photos and perfect for a couple looking to stay at the north end of Saint Lucia. The balcony is magnificent - it is hard to imagine a more stunning view anywhere - and the rest of the apartment is comfortable and thoughtfully outfitted. Our expectations were exceeded across the board. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and can recommend the property without reservations.

One star. This accommodation looks exactly like the picture and you get mesmerized by the view but do not be fooled like me. This is my first and last time booking through VRBO. All of the reviews are from non summer months and the listing does not fully disclose that there is no air conditioning. So it being August made it very hot. If the listing would have disclosed no air conditioning, I would have re considered booking. The entire house is open, even if you close the windows, hot air and bugs can still get into the inside. It took us till the end of our stay to discover that there are fleas in this property in the mattress. My husband and I had over 100 bug bites on our body. I bled on the sheets because I itched so bad and was afraid that the host would charger me for this. Yet the host does not live on site or maybe in St. Lucia so they will be of no help at all. There is a bug net (with holes) but there are all sorts of moths and other bugs actively trying to eat it. We found two venomous centipedes inside because there are so many places for it to get into. It was after midnight and there was literally no other hotel to stay in so we slept in our car. I would rather sleep in my car than around a bug that could potentially kill me. Be VERY weary of booking this property because it is not as it seems. The same goes with the rules. The owner will send you 6+ pages of rules after booking, most of which are not mentioned on the page prior to booking. Not only was the expe

My wife and I spent 8 glorious nights at Len’s wonderful, romantic cottage. The view is stunning. The memory of waking up and spending our mornings on the porch with the sun illuminating the island and the birds for company will stay with us forever. Showering while looking over the bay. Falling asleep to the song of the crickets. This was our first visit to St Lucia and we can’t wait to return. Easy access to the beach at Pigeon Island (highly recommend Jambe de Bois restaurant there) and a reasonable walk to Gros Islet for authentic local food, groceries, etc. If you are disinclined toward the all-inclusive, resort-style vacation, this is a great fit for you. Our host was gracious and available to quickly answer our questions despite being out of the country.
