Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a lovely stay at Norman Chapel, it is a beautiful cottage in a very cute village. There are shops and pubs a short drive away and it is quite central for visiting other popular areas in the Cotswolds. We loved the fires and it was very cosy with everything you could need! Thank you for having us!

Stayed Jan 1, 1Needs TLC. Fridge Freezer leaked. Top oven didnt work and cooker was very unclean. Carpets and chairs in dining room badly stained. Cleaning company responded well to a problem with the bathroom light.

Stayed Jan 1, 1A group of 6 of us generally had a lovely stay here. Nice quiet village with an hour walk to Moreton over some hilly fields which was lovely. Few things that need some time and money: Cleaning - this seemed to be a quick mop and hoover round, rather than attention to detail you’d expect from a prof cleaning service - lots of cobwebs, dust spiders and some general grit/grime in areas around furniture Furniture - there is not enough comfy furniture for 6 people in the living room, there’s a very old chaise which is falling to bits and other occasional chairs, not great if you all want to sit round the fire of an evening with a glass of wine Log Burners - the information said a starter kit, there was no fire lighters and we had to hunt for matches which were damn, clearly those restocking have never lit a fire themselves History - you could make a whole feature of the history of the accom, being a chapel, being converted into a home etc etc but there was nothing, such a shame when it is such a historical building Parking - the directions are to park on Vicarage Street, at one end someone has put boulders on the edging of the road so you can’t park there, nearer the old church if you have any car larger than a Audi A1 you’ll struggle to leave enough room for passing traffic, better directions to places you can park needs updating on the info (we circled round in the dark for about half an hour) Kitchen Equipment - this needs a bit of an audit, there are some random things you wouldn’t usually have like a blender, but then no roasting tin That all being said, we made it a great weekend and it’s location and size is perfect for 6 people.

Stayed Jan 1, 1A super sized house, ideal for a get together! Lovely location with lots to do. The kitchen was super, well resourced and very roomy. All the rooms were a good size and we loved the fire. However the front room does need more comfy furniture, too many of the chairs were uncomfortable (feathers!) However we all had a nice weekend. I would recommend as it was good value for money and a great base.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We stayed at the Norman Chapel for a week and fell in love with the cottage. It’s a very wholesome place to stay and set within a quiet hamlet of other beautiful homes. It was a perfect location for us to visit lots of what the Cotswolds has to offer. Lots of walks, pubs and gardens within a short distance. There was some maintenance works during our stay in the garden and have recommended to the property manager to let guests know in advance in the future when this occurs.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The only reason I gave cleanliness a 4 when we arrived the recycling was everywhere in the garden it did get removed by somebody while we was out one day otherwise a great little place to stay, parking can be a problem sometimes. Especially if you have two large cars. But with that in mind it only happened once. It wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Stayed Jul 18, 2025Beautiful property in lovely quiet location, but in need of some TLC.The BBQ was so filthy it was unusable, the drain outside the kitchen was full of cigarette ends, a rubber seal in the dishwasher was hanging off, and there were dog and childrens toys strewn around the house (not all were under furniture). We came to put our washing out but there was no line. We contacted the management company and this was quickly resolved. Good communications. The most annoying thing was a kind of buzzing noise on a couple of occassions coming from the boiler cupboard in the second bedroom. It vibrated through the bed so much I had to go down to the sofa in the lounge. Only happened twice though, and once was only for 30 minutes before I got up anyway. The morning before we left there was a knock at the door. It was the cleaner and her kids. She had come to get the property ready for the next guests. My wife explained we were not due to leave until the next day and she eventually left. But we were so worried another family would turn up in the afternoon we did not go out.The property itself was great, and perfect for dogs. It is in a very quiet hamlet but very central to main Cotswolds attractions. Just needs a deep clean and some TLC.And yes, we would go back there.

Stayed Jan 1, 1This lovely Cottage was perfect for our family stay, kitchen was large and well equipped. Great garden for dining and games. It’s in a small quiet village without pub/ shop but only a short drive away or a good dog walk! There were a lot of bees entering the outhouse next to patio, didn’t bother us at all but might worry young children.

Garden great even though winter and secure for dog .

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was big and location very quiet. Wonderful garden. The real problem was the lack of clearnliness. The furniture and all rooms were lacking a deep clean. Moreover, I removed 35 spiders during my stay. Some of them quite big, some of them in beds or sofas. I understand it's an old country house but the cleaning process should take into consideration removing all the spiders every week.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Large , spacious with all the commodities , great garden , very well equipped and comfortable cottage full of history . Things to improve could be a little cleaner , the place was full of spiders and spider webs , the sofa and seats in the living room are a little tired . But overall a really nice comfy and spacious cottage in a very quite and lovely location- perfect for a family / group retreat.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved staying in this very old cottage. It was very comfortable and well equipped and in a great location to visit many places in North Cotswold. We had an 18 month old with us and the garden was perfect for him and the dog! There was an issue with the hot water which was resolved exceptionally quickly following our call. There were several interesting pieces of furniture but I will say having two chairs which were too fragile to sit on, seemed a bit strange, however nice they looked. The dining area was lovely - a nice big table and there is also a nice big table in the garden. A bbq was available which was great. We loved staying in this comfortable, friendly and interesting home and would certainly book again. No pub within walking distance but some nice ones just short car drives away.
