THE Zen Treehouse Retreat- Great Views and Peaceful Decks!

My favorite home away from home, already trying to plan my next stay. Everything is heavenly.

Wonderfull Christmas although the weather was rainy. We loved the place felt really at home.

The Zen Treehouse is a little slice of Heaven in the Woodland Hills area of L.A. It is an old house with many modern amenities. You'll get in there and never want to leave.

This is our third time staying in the Zen treehouse. It is cozy, well appointed in every way, and the views are spectacular. We also take a walk every morning into the canyon a couple of blocks up from the house. The views are even more spectacular, overlooking all of Woodland Hills. Highly recommend this place for those who can take stairs fairly easily. Thank you!

We had an AMAZING stay!! The home was spotless and felt so intentionally decorated. It was very apparent that AJ cares about the home and the guests that stay in it. The kitchen was fully loaded with cookware that can actually be used. We had a hard time convincing ourselves to leave the house because of how comfortable and beautiful it was!

Everything was fantastic with the Zen treehouse. My only disappointment was the location in the listing wasn’t where the map showed it and it was in a completely different neighborhood making my walk to my sons home more of a car ride that had to be managed, but other than that- fabulous experience.

Everything was seamless - just like you would see in an interior design magazine! A beautifully arranged and comfortable place to stay for business travelers.

First off, host communication was incredible. Never seen such rapid response. Highest rated host ever!House was cute and is definitely like a treehouse. However, that does come with some issues. This is not a home for anyone with mobility issues or senior dog. The steps down to carport are lil' sketchy at night and lights are not working. It's a funky old home and there is some obvious deferred maintenance needed, but that's a constant w/any old home. Ceiling fans would be much appreciated here. Carport parking was interesting w/a full size pick-up and would have been tough w/a 2nd vehicle. Neighborhood streets are not full-size truck friendly, but doable if you have some skill. Really had fun on the deck! My dog enjoyed watching squirrels run around in the pines. Deck is not fully enclosed (or property) and that was a shame. Everything worked great inside the home (except master shower head is leaking FYI). Lots of great flop areas in the living room and the couch was crazy comfortable! TV gets tons of channels and worked fine. Turned a/c on around 1am because it became hot upstairs w/o ceiling fan. For me by staying only one night, I think it would have been easier (and cheaper) to do a hotel. This home really deserves longer stays and being filled w/friends to really use it's potential. Would be a great couples get away or small gathering of friends. Definitely not a party house because sound travels in the canyon. Overall, a good stay and new location experience .

Such a beautiful space! My spouse, two kids and I loved our stay at the treehouse. The house feels quiet and serene, but is super close to all the Woodland Hills amenities and Topanga Canyon. The kids loved hanging out in the loft space! Highlights include the full stocked kitchen, gas grill, beautiful views and the upstairs Toto toilet! We would love to stay here again.

The inside was immaculate and had a very spa like vibe. Aptly named Zen treehouse it was a really cozy and quiet environment. Outdoor space was also wonderful with several areas to sit and chill enjoy the views. Instructions for check in were clear, kitchen very well appointed great to have gas grill as well. Great to have the carport as well

Can’t recommend this place or the host enough!

This is our second stay at the Zen Treehouse. I actually don't want to write this review, because I want to book this spot for every time I visit L.A.. AJ has thought of literally everything to make the stay easy and relaxing--- including the kitchen being fully stocked. What else can I say... the furniture is plush, the outdoor spots are bathed in sun, with birds chirping, and beautiful views. She was warm and responsive when I called with questions. Relax and enjoy!

This property is stunning. And so unique. The pics don't do it justice. It is peaceful, beautifully appointed, and in a great neighborhood.I highly, highly recommend it.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Zen treehouse, and it was truly a magical experience. The lovely and natural surroundings immediately caught our attention upon arrival, and the impeccable design of the house created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. What made this vbro truly special was our host, Aj. She was the perfect host, going above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. She even surprised us with a Christmas tree, which added to the overall warmth and coziness of the house. It was a delightful and unexpected touch that made our stay even more memorable. The location was also ideal, as we were close to all the amenities we needed, including great restaurants and shopping. But when we sat and looked out at the trees, we felt like we were a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Everything was perfect. Perfect host, excellent communication, great home and location. A bonus for us was a dirt road above the house that extended through the hills with exceptional views of the cities below and the mountains. Thank you, AJ!

This space was truly beautiful. Absolutely dreamy. I wasn't to be in the hills but was still a plus. The view was stunning and i would wake up every morning just to watch yhe sunrise. I was not ready to check out.

This August, my family stayed for about a week at AJ's Zen Treehouse Retreat. It was ridiculously charming and full of small touches that made it easy to enjoy ourselves. Stocked with every kitchen gadget you can imagine, a sweet gift bag, and a gorgeous deck, we spent time reading, taking in the views, and exploring the area. Highly recommended.

At the end of a Californian road trip this was a perfect base for a few LA days before heading home. The house is very peaceful and immaculate, in a lovely neighbourhood.
