This cottage was extremely clean, well maintained and comfortable.

The cottage was beautiful and very clean. Beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, and the hosts were very nice.

This place is excellent and Jim and Michelle are the perfect host. The house has everything needed including a state fo the art washer / dryer. Communication is clear and response time excellent. This is our second time there and we will be back as we love this place and the area! You will not be disappointed.

It is wonderful staying here! Everything you need is here. After spending the day enjoying the area it is a pleasure to stay in the cottage. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable seating in the living room and the warmth of the fireplace. We frequently enjoyed the kitchen eating our meals there. We did not cook but noted the kitchen is stocked with all that would be needed to cook. The shower had great pressure and was refreshing after a day of riding bikes! We slept comfortably in the well-furnished bedroom with plenty of storage for our clothes during our stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated. Our hosts were welcoming and made checking in and out a breeze!

The Vogel Nest is a cozy respite in a beautiful setting and great location close to everything. Tastefully decorated and spotless.

Cozy, adorable cottage, spotlessly clean and well-equipped! We enjoyed our stay so much! The town of Wellsboro is quaint and peaceful. We enjoyed biking on the rail trail (accessible right across the street!), and hiking at Colton State Park. We met one of the cottage owners, who was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Our second year staying at this cozy cottage. A beautiful piece of Pennsylvania and across the country road is the rail trail. Warm, clean and nicely decorated. Also a wonderful front porch to slow down and enjoy the mountains .

IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT IT JUST GO FOR IT. We specifically stayed here for the Mountain View’s but the home was better than expected. Eating breakfast on the porch in the swinging chair, being walking distance from so many trails and horses, the endless beauty of it all, ending the night in front of the fire in a cozy recliner. It was so beyond peaceful. Getting to explore the small city and its history was so honoring. Mr and Mrs Vogel are so incredibly kind. On day one my husband and I made a silly mistake and they came to us in no time to help. Friendly waves every time we saw them outside. Knowing they were right next door was comforting. Even when it rained we were so in love, the way the clouds came low over the mountains, and getting to drive through clouds, omg. Magical. I never have stayed at the same place twice but this just might be an annual trip for us. Thank you Mr and Mrs Vogel for this treasure of a stay that we will never forget.

My Husband and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cottage. Perfect for two! We walked the rail trail which is right across the street and enjoyed visiting the overlooks at the Grand Canyon of PA which were just a short drive away. We had a lovely dinner at Becks Bistro in Wellsboro, which was also just a short distance from the cabin. So, as you can see, this cottage is in a convenient location while also on a quiet and relatively private street. The mountain view is amazing from the porch which we enjoyed after hiking or walking the trail. Thanks again to our hosts for making this cottage clean, cozy, comfortable and available!

I don't think I can say enough good about this wonderful cabin and my experience there. From the moment I met Jim and Michelle to the minute I had to return to reality I was very happy! The cabin is adorable and very clean. The proximity to the Pine Creek Rail Trail is excellent. Everything I needed was in the kitchen, the shower is hot with great water pressure, the front porch is perfect for sipping the morning cup of tea. I will definitely return for another visit in the future! For those of you who hike or bike, I rode 26 miles on the trail and was impressed with the view, the facilities, and the packed surface. I have stayed in many VRBO's over the years, the Vogel Nest sets a high bar and lives up to the reviews. Thank you to Jim and Michelle for being such gracious hosts.

We had a great stay at The Vogel Nest! The cottage was super cute and very clean. No detail was overlooked by the owners. The location is near Route 6 and across the street from the Pine Creek Rail Trail. We will definitely stay at The Vogel Nest on our next trip to the area!

The house was immaculate, furnishings and fixtures were warm, inviting and well thought out, and communications with the host were great and then some! If you are looking for a great place to kick back and enjoy some beautiful scenery with close access to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania and the Pine Creek Rail Trail, look no further.

This was the most adorable cottage to stay in.

Teflon cookware old, unusable; outdoor grill filthy. Insects in bedding and bedroom carpet. Owner's surveillance of my personal activities left me feeling so uncomfortable...hence we left 2 days early. Disappointed!

Charming and cozy cottage for two. The property is beautifully maintained. Easy access to the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Just hop on your bike and go! Highly recommend!

Location was good to play golf and explore the Grand Canyon area as well as access to Wellsboro. The house was clean and the hosts very accommodating. We had a small issue with the Internet router that they brought to our attention and had it resolved while we were out. We would recommend the place and would stay there again when we come back.

This property was wonderful. Check in was quick and easy. The information for checking in was sent timley. There was a full kitchen well stocked with dishes. There was a full size fridge full stove, microwave. There is a combo washer dryer in kitchen area.The wifi access information was provided but we did not use. We had cell service with Verizon at this location.

What a beautiful property! Everything was spit, but clean and so cutely decorated. We had a very comfortable visit and enjoyed many local activities. Highly recommend these lovely hosts!

Best place to stay along the Pine Creek trail!

The cabin is the right size to be cozy but still have everything you need. It is beautifully decorated and practically furnished. It is close to trails, fishing, and sight-seeing (the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon).

We absolutely loved this cabin! The Vogel Nest was a perfect home base for a wonderful week exploring the Pinecreek Rail Trail and all that the surrounding area of Wellsboro has to offer! The cabin is truly created and designed as a home away from home and welcomes all who enter. It had all of the supplies we needed to prepare our meals. The front porch was the perfect place to start the day with a cup of coffee, and also to relax after a day of fun and exploration. We heard so many different birds, and saw an abundance of wildlife. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to explore the area!

Close to trail, Close enough to Wellsboro for eating options, easy to stay home and eat there, make a fire outside, enjoy the porch, All Good!

The cottage and location was prefect for our first trip to the area. The cottage was super clean and very comfortable even during the heat wave and Jim and Michelle were great host.

Very pleasant cottage and good access to bike trail

We loved it here! This was our first time staying here and we WILL return. The cottage exceeded our expectations! We were so happy to meet Jim and Michelle! Close to the PCRT- really just steps away! Easy access to the trail - we were able to visit the trail at dawn which was awesome. We also went on trail in the evening and watched an eagle catch and eat its dinner. Every comfort you would want in a cottage. It was nice to have a full kitchen to sit down and eat our meals. The porch is very comfortable too. The shower has great water pressure! The bed was so comfortable after biking all day! Close to Colton and groceries and town just about 15 minutes awa! the location of this cottage is SO PEACEFUL!!! Thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful cottage and superb hospitality from Jim and Michelle. The Nest exceeded my expectations. So wonderfully decorated for the season. Comfortable living space and nice firm mattress for good sleep. Location is amazing and so convenient for the things we wanted to do. Highly recommend to all. We plan to return!

Charming quiet country feel the minute you step in. Relax and breathe in the clean mountain air. Convince of Pine Creek at your doorstep calls us back time and time again. And the hosts are wonderful!

Very nice cabin. Beautiful area. 30 seconds away from the Pine Creek Rail Trail. This area is very special to us since we spent our honeymoon at Stoney Fork Creek campground back in 1972. Will definitely stay here again. Very nice hosts live right next door!

We came to do a few days of cycling on the Pine Creek trail. The trail was beautiful and the cottage absolutely perfect. It was spotlessly clean and everything we needed was provided. The location is metres from the trail too. Our hosts answered our queries so quickly. They even went out of their way to help us with receiving a parcel. Can’t say enough good about this property! This is a beautiful little cottage on a very quiet road. We loved sitting on the porch early in the morning, drinking our coffee. At night we sat by the fire. The cottage is right next to the walking/biking trail. And, not too far from town. The town is like a Hallmark town with unique shops and lots of good restaurants. This was our second time to stay at the Vogel Nest.
